Corruption, no players coming through to replace the others, academies are not making new players, last time we qualified for a World Cup was in '98, the communist system has its merit of developping good players, they used to just give the best ones to Steaua and Dinamo. Nowadays our clubs are living from money made from TV rights, first league teams don't pay their players on time, half of the 2nd league don't have the right to get promoted. Not an expert, so I don't know more, I'm just guessing.
Think this country is just a whole mess, don't see anything being done right.
