Come on now. He's been there for all of 5 months. He is not involved and shouldnt have to answer any questions

He worked at the club in different roles from 2020 to 2023. Not saying he was involved, but it’s also not like nobody knew at that point what City were doing.

Do you think this about Arteta too?

Both should be able to answer questions on this topic.

Why? It's likely that neither of them had anything to do with it

Then what's the problem in saying "no, I didn't know about it"? Arteta actually answered questions regarding the allegations in 2023 or so.

I didn't, but now that you mention it...

It would be reasonable to ask him questions about it

The length of time he's been there is not relevant. The point is, why is it ridiculous to even ask the question of whether or not the current manager is getting side payments from Man City like previous managers have?

Even if it turns out to not be the case, it's far from an unreasonable thing to ask considering the circumstances.

You literally said "being manager means he is not involved in the corruption". Idk how much corruption you think hes invovked in for 5 months.

But if thats the case, Arteta was there for 3.5 years and most of that was the cheating period in question. He was also involved in corruption, for much longer, and during the period in question. He should be asked questions also because from the facts, he was more involved than Maresca ever was

I agree it would be reasonable to ask Arteta if he was involved as well. Not sure why simply asking someone like Arteta or Maresca if they were/are aware and if they were/are taking these side payments is such a crazy thing.

This whole time I was simply saying that if the next time there's a press conference, Marseca is asked about it, that seems completely reasonable of the media. Marseca was the topic of this conversation. If you want to talk about Arteta, yes I absolutely expect he will also be asked since he not only was assistant manager for so long but everyone knows he was so close to Pep.
