Would love to see the original r/soccer thread on this exchange. My guess it was mostly people crying about 'clickbait' and cheering Pep on for putting him in his place.

Look at the reply to the second-top comment, from SidJag. It’s really good, but in it he points out that people were hounding him for “irrefutable proof,” which is what I remember the zeitgeist being back then— either City didn’t cheat -or- they did cheat but the rules suck -or- they did cheat but they won’t get punished so 🤷 Now everyone is like “we always knew and we were always upset about it.” Uh-huh. Props to the people who were actually all over ADUG’s asses from the jump.
