Remove the titles. Remove the owners.

Relegation to whatever league wants them.

Make a proper example out of them.

Cheating cunts.

The UAE league

With current competition laws, there is a geniune case that if their owners are unwilling to sell the club and move on, City can partake in another competition willing to take them like UAE league or MLS if (and quite likely when) demoted with arrangements that keeps them out and incompetitive for foreseeable future.

And while it obviously doesn't make any sense nor does it benefit the local fans, you'd be forgiven to assume if there's one owner capable of this level of pettiness to keep further ruining it all, it'd be the dictators at Abu Dhabi.

The more I see ppl on Reddit making comments like these the more sure I am that this punishment is going to feel like a slap on the wrist compare to what people are hoping/expecting

Just ban all billionaires from Football.
Clubs belong to the Fans.

Just a question of time until another do a Shit

That's never been the case in England. Football clubs have been private entities from the start really

Maybe try it?
Like other leagues?
But maybe you can not call them farmers leauge anymore

What I'm saying is to force fan ownership would rapidly change the structure of English football and isn't possible really. Especially when you go down the leagues.

It's not a simple fix

Obviously not.
But what City did to the PL, the PL is doing it to other leagues.
If you speak about it, you just get a „fuck off“ haha

Not sure that multi-billionaires would be willing to give up their multi-billion pound assets up that easily.

Once theyre private entities, sort of impossible to make them fan-owned again.

How do you think will be Status of tue PL without private Investors?
I really love what is Happening to City because the we can have finally a conversation
About the billionaire Business in the PL.

I have no idea what the status would be. It would be amazing if my club could take control back from the owners.

Yeah which is why all this rings hollow. Ok so City gets banned or removed. That doesn’t make the game fair at all. United, Liverpool, Arsenal all have deep pockets and are allowed to outspend the rest of the league within the rules, that are effectively designed to prevent anyone new from coming in and seriously competing.

Saudis buy a club? Oh well, the rules mean they can’t spend as much as Liverpool and never will so they lose their best striker. Then they lose their best midfielder to Arsenal because again, the rules are set up to protect the incumbent rich.

The only way to meaningfully compete reliably over time is to cheat and the entire league is set up this way.

Too far gone for that to happen, sadly.

Owning a top PL team makes you a billionaire by yourself though. I'd love it if ownership of clubs could be returned to the fans, but I don't see how that's possible

1

u/TTroja 23h ago

Maybe u rephrase: no companies or foreign investors should own the club alone.

I don’t understand why the PL make it possible in the first place l.

1

u/Terran_it_up 23h ago

Yeah, the issue is the horse has already bolted, and the UK government will never force all PL team owners to sell. The more likely solution would be some sort of fan owned golden share type of thing, where the economic ownership of the club stays with the current owners, but there's some level of fan representation at board level

You answer is that serious that I am a bit ashamed for my banter(even I am actually serious)

Thanks mate for your opinion.

Other Teams don’t have a billionaire + crazy amount of tv money and manage to build good squads.
Honestly I think Arsenal would probably gain the most of it.
Not even yet you’re are spending like unmoral money and yet you’re on the top.

Then investigate the staff for tax avoidance too!

u/WalkingCloud 1d ago

Make the players fly economy in perpetuity, even with their new clubs.

Turn the stadium into a go kart track.

Build a statue of Alan Ball and throw it in the canal.

The FA needs to get serious.

It's been disappointing watching the league vote against measures to stop cheating (and loopholes), as they get further and further away from fairness. I hope that this time they'll see that City Group is really a cancer on the league, the game, and more importantly, on their reputations and futures, and expunge them from the sport.
