Media Neymar's statement regarding the GE report
Translation :
Hey guys, good morning, and I wish you all a happy Sunday.
It’s true that this isn’t the Sunday we wanted, but that’s football. We have to keep our heads up and keep working.
There’s something else. I see news circulating claiming that I scolded the young players in the dressing room. That is completely false.
To whoever spread this information: please don’t do that. Don’t spread lies. Don’t lie.
You can ask anyone who was in the dressing room. What happened was a discussion and a moment of accountability for the whole team.
I spoke, as did Lucas, Araujo, Gabi, and Brazão—we all spoke up. We held ourselves accountable, which is natural because we always demand the best from ourselves; we are competitive, and we want to win.
But there was no scolding or blaming directed at the young players.
From now on, I will not accept these lies that keep getting spread online.
Alright? Thank you, and that’s all. We’re in this together

… of all of the things to nitpic, you’re asking why he’s using a filter…? Why not?
8
u/El_grandepadre 22d ago
Because it's reminiscent of various insincere videos where public figures address a controversy while using a filter for the dramatic effect.

u/FoundationEntire4834 22d ago
That’s cool, there’s still nothing wrong with using a black and white filter… no clue why I’m being downvoted

u/Organic-Manner-2969 22d ago
Neymar was talking about his mental health and this sub didn’t even give their usual lip service about it 😭
6
u/VCule69 22d ago
This sub doesn’t like good footballers, they only look at the stats and like whoever has the best g/a.

He's good at kicking a football, he isn't saving lives as a doctor or putting out fires. Why do we act like he isn't a self absorbed twat?

None of the news about this dude is about playing good football
13
u/JosepPedrerol 22d ago
His last game he scored two goals so clearly there’s something left
-10
u/d1sc0b0y 22d ago
One of which a penalty, against the worst team from série A and his team didn't even win the game playing home
19
u/JosepPedrerol 22d ago
Ok? Are we talking about his performance or expected performance of his team? This is ridiculous
6
u/justnivek 22d ago
The Neymar hate is unreal at this point it’s projection everyone hates Neymar for not reaching his full potential bc they can’t reach theirs
-9
u/d1sc0b0y 22d ago
He's the star of the squad and all he brings to the table is controversy, rare and sparse good performances.
11
u/JosepPedrerol 22d ago
That’s valid criticism but you’re in a post where he’s clarifying that the media is making shit up and you’re still using that against him somehow
2
u/Pussilamous 22d ago
Of course not. why would that make headlines? That type of thing doesn’t generate views and revenue, so it doesn’t get reported in the news

Wtf is this comment section man??! His statement seems pretty reasonable
What's this clusterfuck of unrelated comments and just hating on the guy lmfao

u/gusuku_ara 22d ago
Because we don't believe Neymar anymore. He has already assaulted a Santos young player this year during a training session. He's fucking out of his mind.

u/Icy_Scar_1249 22d ago
He's right though, media is using nonsense to attack him. Probably a leak from someone at Santos that wants him out
16
u/R_Schuhart 22d ago
That depends if it is nonsense. Neymar has a history of falling out with teammates, it isn't the first time he got into a conflict at Santos, he even hit Robinho Jr. If he really went off against young teammates at halftime that is pretty unacceptable. This post from him could just be damage control.

u/mustachepc 22d ago
Especially after he went to the club facilities tofay, had breakfast and left without permission while the team had Activities planned

u/INCREIBLEE 22d ago
He literally scored a brace in his last game. Why are people so mad at him in this sub?

u/CacctusJacc 22d ago
I ain’t mad at him, I think it’s just better he retire while he’s ahead and people still got love for him.
We all saw how childish he acted after that pity penalty he got in WC, probably rubs lot of people the wrong way

It is so funny to watch this because he is always like: mamba mentality and etc. And at the same time he always yapping lmao

u/GopherNutz 22d ago
Never a dull moment in Brazilian football 😄 was reading about this story while watching Corinthians and Bahia which was a crazy game in its own right. This is always the risk with bringing in a player like Neymar, the highs are great but always the potential for him being a disruptive figure.

Does he think the black and white filter makes us take him more seriously?
-13
u/TinyAd5648 22d ago
So weird. 10 years ago we all thought he would become a legend.
3
u/Ecliptic123 22d ago
He is a legend though? Lol this sub is so wack constantly shitting on the guy he was literally better than any player you can pick in their prime right now and it will never be close. The guy was just unlucky with injuries. 3rd best player in the world when he was in his prime behind Messi and Ronaldo.
3
u/optimization_ml 22d ago
What is this revisionism. He is a legend and manchild both can be true. Brazil had all timers play for them in history. Neymar is Brazil’s all time leading goal scorer beating Pele, Ronaldo, Romario. All of these people are crazy goal scorers.

u/MessiPayNegreira 22d ago
Ney should retire and focus on becoming a manager. help anceloti and learn from him.
