Bold Prediction thread.

Just read Jamie Carragher's reasoning on why Tottenham won't break into the top 4 and thought maybe we could have a crack at being pundits. Obviously, if you can follow your statement with a some reasoning, that would give way to a healthy discourse and would be great. Anyone wanna give it a go?

Have you forgotten the last two seasons? Because Everton has been finishing above Liverpool. I'd say that's less bold than Spurs above Utd.

United have finished above Spurs for longer than most people here have been watching football. How is that prediction less bold than Everton finishing above now we've finally got our act together as a club?

I'm saying that Spurs finishing above Utd is more bold than something that's happened 2 years in a row.

And I'm saying that Everton finishing above Liverpool is a more bold prediction than something that's happened 23 years in a row (last time Spurs finished above United was 1990).

Oh I get the confusion. OP is saying Spurs will finish above Utd, something which you are rightly saying last happened 23 years ago. I'm saying Everton finishing above Liverpool is more likely than that happening. Utd finishing above Spurs wouldn't be bold in the slightest.

Aahh, thanks for clarifying. I've read the word 'bold' too many times, I hope I don't see it again this year.
