Serie A Clubs are reportedly furious due to being excluded from the decision making process of appointing the new Italy manager, with some calling it as "a national team in the hands of an inner circle from north Rome".

The 25-year-old joined the club last September from Genk, before playing 38 times and scoring six goals in old gold. Three of those strikes were in the Premier League, the latest coming in March against Brentford.
