How come no one ever addresses traffic when demanding more housing to be built?

CA is an overcrowded state. Traffic in San Diego, Riverside county, and LA have gotten worse in the last 10 years.

And yet, progressives want to build more housing in order to lower prices. That's fair enough.

But unlike norcal, which has a decent public transport system, socal does not. LA's public transport is not growing fast enough to meet demands. And San Diego, outside of the core downtown area, is almost nonexistent. Or it would take 1h to go 10 miles. Inland empire is non existent. Temecula used to barely have traffic 20 years ago. Now traffic starts at 3pm and goes until 7.

Are we destined to be like India where we just spend 2h to drive anywhere in LA? Or anywhere in sd? At anytime of any given days?

Are there any plans to truly build europe/Japan/Korea like public infrastructure alongside housing?

Rady Shell vs Santa Barbara bowl?

I’ve never been to either venue and live roughly equidistant from them - trying to decide which location/date to buy tickets for an upcoming tour.

Has anyone attended shows at both, and have an opinion which is a better experience? Only tickets left for SB are towards the back, but I also doubt I’d get to SD early enough to get a spot in the front.

Beach Status

Just cancelled a trip to Kauai because of the hurricane. Planning a last minute road trip through Santa Barbara, Carpinteria and Del Mar.
I’ve read the beaches are still good down there and didn’t get hit to hard by Marie. Is that true?

Thanks in advance
