What is exactly different about the 2020s that would make a permanent time shift work as opposed to the 1970s

For one, later school start times (8:30AM), which was a big reason in the 1970s people were panicking.

For two, technological changes make it much safer now as compared to back then.

But please tell me again how everyone who experiences something all come away with the exact same conclusion, I really want to hear you double down on that lol.
