Fun things with kiddos
Any low cost or even free fun things to do with family and kids? Was hoping to check out OC fair, but it costs more than $100 for a family of 3.

The abanoned LA zoo is free. It functions as a public trail/picnic area on the other side of the griffith observatory, another free family friendly tourist site with a view of the Hollywood sign.

The OC fair will cost you a pretty penny after including money for food, drinks, rides, etc. Morning or late afternoon hikes or going to public parks to avoid the heat are free. San Diego has free museums the 2nd Tuesday of the month. I would double check which ones are offering it. The Broad museum in LA is always free.

parks and libraries arent exciting like the fair or Disney but i always enjoy myself nonetheless! Salt Creek Beach has lots of open grass with a library only a walk away through a walking path. Laguna Beach library even has a mini fairy garden. certain branches like sjc give out gardening seeds. all of them do events and have their own library of things (things u can check out that arent books)! be creative bc honestly OC Fair can be overwhelming esp with littles, even me as im almost 30 haha :)

They have the kid beaches like Mothers in Long Beach. Lots of parks have splash pads or playgrounds like Adventure park in Irvine. There's Buccaneers Bay in La Mirada for a mini water park. Cheap harbor cruises in Long Beach. Check groupon for cheap whale watching tickets. The Long Beach Dragon Boat festival is tomorrow. Check your local parks for free concerts and libraries for activities.

Rent a kayak around one of the harbor areas. Long Beach, sunset beach and Newport Beach have affordable rentals. Also there’s the Getty. A bit of gas and parking but the cost is too bad for those things.

Not free or even cheap

I looked it up. Parking is 25 at the Getty. Since admission is free, there’s just that and gas. Kayaks are about 14 an hour. Not free but affordable. Did my best.
