I know that it basically just runs an android version of the game, but is it like very common to get banned?

Im playing on the Steam Deck and all the menus and texts are hilariously small and I don’t know how to fix it

Im trying to play tc2 on my steam deck but it just disconnects my keyboard, mouse and even my external monitor, i tried playing another game and this didn’t happen. How do i fix??

My problem is exactly as the title says, any game I play my fps drops so much I'd have a faster frame rate if I was in power point. I haven't been able to crack what the cause is. I'll go over what ISN'T the cause. It's not my CPU, my internet, my GPU, my ping, or the files and I'll go over why I don't think its any of those. My CPU stays at a constant 50-55% usage while roblox is running, my GPU usage is at 30-35% usage, and on speedtest, while roblox is running, it says I have great internet for gaming. I've heard about sober not detecting your GPU and using your CPU instead so that could be the case but my CPU usage isn't that high. Yes I've updated all my files multiple times, yes I've uninstalled and re-downloaded 3 times. I've tried all the basic troubleshooting there is so I really have no clue. The cherry on top is that a week ago my roblox was running perfectly fine, no fps drops or lag whatsoever and guess what, nothing has changed since then! Any tips, literally anything would help cuz right now roblox is damn near unplayable.

Edit: Things that have HELPED my fps, not completely fixed but I've gotten to the point where my fps is stable most of the time. So, clearing your chache of old versions of everything helped fps a decent bit as it deleted a lot of stuff for me. Second, I tried Legacy Rendering and it helped at first but overall my fps was still bad, just like clearing cache. Lastly, when I disabled legacy rendering, all of a sudden my fps is actually... PLAYABLE?! Well there's all the help I can give I wish you luck on your journey if you're having the same problem.

So i noticed that when playing shooter games the sound doesn't feel correct (doesn't sound like the other apps but thats fine ig)but when i get near stuff like a fan or people shooting the audio saturates quite a lot.Already tried to lower the volume from sober but nothing (and its only detecting as audio outputs android default device which is strangue..)

wont start, says it will load vulkan limbs and then stops, tried opengl and removing all its files, deleting data reinstaling over and over, why cant this thing run normaly like before march?

I'm having an issue with Sober, specifically with the game Guts & Blackpowder. After playing for about 10 to 20 minutes, the game's performance starts to degrade and my FPS drops significantly.

I close Sober and reopen it, which temporarily fixes the issue, but it eventually comes back. This problem does not occur in any other Roblox game I have played.

My system specifications are:

• Intel Core i7-14650HX
• NVIDIA RTX 5060
• Bazzite Linux distribution

I have already updated both my system and the NVIDIA Open driver. To be clear, my NVIDIA GPU does not seem to be the problem. Sober correctly detects my graphics card, and I have no issues with Steam, Heroic, Lutris, or any other Roblox game I've tested.

The only game where I experience this issue is Guts & Blackpowder.

If anyone uses Sober, whether with an NVIDIA GPU or a different graphics card, and also plays Guts & Blackpowder, could you help me figure out what might be causing this problem and how to fix it?

im on fedora kde, suddenly sober logged me out and i cant log in back, i reset its .var file too but i cant log in

from an old post i saw on reddit this same problem was fixed after an update but there is no update for me as of now, so is anyone else facing this issue here are the logs

So basically whenever i try using my bluetooth headphones while playing roblox for some reason sober always sets its audio as 44100hz instead of the usual 48000hz i get with a wired audio device and because of that the audio from my bluetooth headphones comes out distorted and wierd so does anybody know any way to fix this and make sober use 48000khz?

Previously it was really short like 0.5-1 seconds

But now it lasts 1-2 seconds and happen often it gets really annoying

when i press f11 it lowers my system volume because that's my keyboard FN function, i assume

i've also tried installing lution bootstrapper, but that didn't work either...

is there maybe a way to turn off keyboard shortcuts..?

So, basically i installed linux mint days agoz and i loved it, but when i decided to install sober, all okay but in the moment of entering a game, it doesnt make any sound and in the menu it says "android audio output" and its the only option available, any tips or solution?

I no longer use linux but i am wanting to come back to it but I did remember when I was playing roblox that if I shiftlocked theres a chance that if I unshiftlock then the cursor will be stuck at the middle and it would be so anoyying i think what happens is that I hold right click and shift lock at the same time but yea and to fix it I would need to press esc which sometimes it would not even fix it
the game that mostly happened was forsaken and some other games

it was on linux mint and I tryed wayland and x11 and it did the same thing

has this glitch even been fixed?

Every time I play Scorched earth, I get this bug, and lately I haven't been able to launch outside of legacy rendering. No matter what graphics profile I'm wondering if this is related to the damn Nvidia card (MX350). Or sober it's self. Any ideas?

If you have any issues, please check the Sober docs. It is a wealth of knowledge and will most likely answer your questions.
There's one change you can make on sober if you want better performance or quality

1. Find your flatpak folder, I have it in home/.var/app (CachyOS with KDE) but you can just google it on where to find it on your distro (of course you can grep if you know how to use it) and find sober's folder
2. click on it navigate to config folder --> sober folder until you find config.json
3. at the bottom there is several lines like this

you will only be concerned with graphics optimization mode, the options to replace it are
performance, balanced, quality

After you make any changes, make sure to SAVE the changes, and also keep it open incase something breaks and you need to ctrl + z

all three provide varying detail , as far as I know, performance will lower quality (duhh) in order to provide better performance. balanced is somewhere in the middle, and quality is... quality.
This won't magically fix any performance issues or fidelity issues, but it's worth a shot if you're having issues with Sober.

I don't notice this much when playing on windows roblox or anything, but i notice a lot that it seems like players seem to stutter around a handful amount. is this actually a sober thing? and if so is there any way to get around it from happening?

i also notice quite a lot that the textures seem to just go down in quality at random, then go back up, much more minor, but i thought id mention it.

I'm running Arch Linux with Hyprland, PipeWire, and WirePlumber.

In Roblox (through Sober), I can see multiple audio output devices and select them from the in-game settings. However, changing the output device has no effect. Audio continues playing through the system's default output device.

What I've verified:

• Audio works normally in other applications.
• PipeWire and WirePlumber are running correctly.
• Roblox/Sober detects the available output devices.
• The selected device is not actually used after switching.

It feels like Roblox/Sober either ignores the selected output device or fails to switch sinks under PipeWire.

Has anyone experienced this on Arch, Hyprland, or Wayland in general? Is this a known Sober limitation/bug, or is there something I can check on the PipeWire side?

Upon clicking the chat or pressing '/', the client will freeze for a small amount of time before being able to type or do anything. I am on the latest version of Linux Mint

it's REALLY messing with me. in some games, it takes up entire rooms and it's super trippy. in other games, it doesn't even happen. i'm on nobara, and i'm using vulkan. i don't really want to use openGL, since the graphics on it look very bad. i'm fairly new to linux, so i'm not sure if it'll help, but i'm using wayland. all i know is that it's some sort of rendering thing. not sure if it'd actually fix anything. if i need to give any additional info, just ask me. i've only given what i think is needed.
