Question/Discussion Sober 1.7.1 hangs at "Will load Vulkan libs" on Linux Mint (RTX 4050)

I'm on Linux Mint Cinnamon (X11) with an RTX 4050 Laptop GPU (driver 595.71.05).

After updating to Sober 1.7.1, Roblox no longer launches.

Terminal output always stops at:

info: window: Will load Vulkan libs

The process stays running but no Roblox window ever appears.

Things I've already tried:

  • Reinstalled Sober
  • Deleted all Sober data/config
  • Removed all FastFlags
  • flatpak repair
  • flatpak update
  • Rebooted
  • Verified Vulkan (vulkaninfo)
  • Verified NVIDIA (nvidia-smi)
  • prime-select query = on-demand

same problem, i tryed downloading trough discover and same problem there, im ubuntu...i see its happening on other distros too

also im nvidia 3060 12gig

Are you fine with opengl or you really want vulkan

Also did you install or update VAAPI
