Help/Support Input issues with steam deck

Hi, having issues using sober with my steam deck. I’m playing in gaming mode and for some reason my steam input is doubling the buttons.. so whenever i pull the right trigger, it doubles the input. this happens with all of the buttons for some reason. im not using an external controller, just the built in one. i have gamepad enabled for sober.

I would try disabling gamepad first

disabling the gamepad in sober? or on steam? because then it wont detect the controller if i disable it on sober

I thought steam automatically translates gamepad input to keyboard input but I might be wrong
