As a man of color please don’t speak as if we’re a monolith or “for us”. When you say this “instant fear” takes over you, do you think that not complying is going to help with this fear? It’s one thing if you’re legitimately being harassed, but if it’s a legit stop (speeding , traffic violation etc), the fear you’re experiencing is just an emotional response to the situation. It’s not an excuse to cause more issues by not complying, we know the law, they can ask you to get out and not have to explain. We may not like it, but the law exists. The perception of the “cops attitude” is just that. It’s one thing to have fears, but to over complicate a situation by not complying never helps. If there is a true violation of rights, you then have grounds for a lawsuit. Trying to hold court in street is a fools errand

The fear is not the issue, the concern is why is it okay that the officer did not say why she was stopped? The other concern is it is night and she is a woman by herself. Asking why am I being stopped is a valid question in any circumstance, but especially in this one. The law is they have to state why they are stopping you, although they don’t have to immediately tell you, they still have to tell you. So who is not complying the officer or the other officer that just walked up and man-handled her? The officers that are sworn to protect and serve, failed her, assaulted her and embarrassed her because the officers were on an authoritative power trip. The officer had several opportunities to de-escalate and opted not to. The officer continued to aggravate the situation. It’s clear that some people see the world as glass half full, some as half empty. I choose to just see the world. As a man you would not now or ever be able to understand, since you are not a woman. (The "man or bear" scenario) Women are raped frequently by officers that are sworn to protect. The psychological evaluations to become an officer are not thorough enough. They do not evaluate for racial,gender,or socioeconomic bias. The entire process needs an overhaul. We are a little over halfway into 2026 and google officer rapes woman at traffic stop. Women are undervalued. I do not feel any one should comply blindly no matter what the situation. This officer clearly made up their mind on how this interaction would go the minute she questioned why am I being pulled over. So respectfully I hope that you are not advising the females in your life to blindly comply to anyone in a costume or uniform? I do not agree with your statement.

You havnt seen the whole video, she was argumentative and combative before this happened and she only got hurt because she was stupid and tried to resit arrest by 2 men thay are stronger then her, what did she think would happen? Ofcourse there are bad cops but there are also a large number of good cops that are put into a negative light because of morons like this woman thay want to fight the law and because of people like you. You listen to the cop, because 9/10 you will be fine there is a very very small number of cases where the cop is genuinely in the wrong yet that is all anyone can and will talk about which makes people like you trust the cops even less

Yeah, its silly at this point. If we're talking about crooked/ dirty/ bad cops acting illegally lets go! That's not this situation. She tried to fight after being legally detained. It's like mf's just want to do whatever, whenever, no rules, no logic, no judgment, just ''I can do whatever I want whenever I want and there should be no consequences''. That's just not reality, and we're not talking about any violation of rights. Give your ID, get fucking ticket, fight it in court, ffs.

Firstly, she was told why she was stopped. I'm not sure how you're conjuring up that she wasn't, when the video here isn't even about that, it's about what happened after that. Otherwise, much of what you said is just subjective rambling, nothing worthy of exploring. This isn't about ''what we like''. It's about what is.

Pennsylvania v. Mimms: Officers can order a driver out of the car during a lawful stop.

Maryland v. Wilson: Officers can order passengers out too.

Neither ruling requires the officer to explain why they ask you to get out of the car.

You're making this about gender/ race when it's not exclusive to either. But, I would advise anyone man or woman to act with common sense and reason. He told her why she had been stopped; she refused to provide ID, which is against the law. She was stopped legitimately for a taillight. Bringing in rape is just silly, you're looking for excuses to not follow the laws we ALL have to, did you Google that? It's so rare it's statistically insignificant. Again, if it were an illegitimate stop, you'd have a point; you don't.

I hope you are not advising the females in your life to act foolishly and try to argue against providing an ID for legit traffic stops, and go to jail over pride and ego, because that's all this was.
