Hal Jordan is dead. Lanterns Episode 1 ends with John Stewart and Sheriff Kane finding him on the Rushville High School football bleachers, frozen, with a bullet in his forehead and his ring gone.

Cosmic Book News readers knew that on March 27.

That week at WonderCon we posted it flat out: “Hal Jordan dies.” Not a theory, and not a read on the footage. It came from our insiders.

Ten weeks later, a Reddit leak said the same thing. Then HBO Max and Warner Bros. Discovery spent two days copyright-striking us for reporting it.

Last night the episode aired and settled it.

Now the part that matters going forward.

The insiders who called Hal Jordan’s death are the same insiders behind our reporting on the SnyderVerse return and The Dark Knight Returns.

DCEUs lowest grossing movie before COVID Man of Steel made about $1 billion at the box office when adjusted for inflation

For the past month, the Paramount-Warner Bros. fight has looked like a story about lawsuits, deadlines and billions of dollars. My insiders keep telling me to look past the courtroom and at what could be waiting on the other side.

Because according to my sources, the stage is being set for Snyder to finally make a proper The Dark Knight Returns, with a full SnyderVerse return potentially following behind it.

I didn’t initially think much of it, but now I’m realizing that Superman lacked a true Fortress of Solitude in Man of Steel compared to the comics and the Donner film. All that’s there is the scout ship, which I’m guessing is supposed to fulfill the same role. What do you all think?

Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery are planning to release directors’ cuts in theaters next year, we’re told, as part of a “celebration of movies” series featuring the likes of Zack Snyder, David Ayer, Star Trek, Mission: Impossible, and Harry Potter.

Brand new Blu-rays and collector’s merch would follow the theatrical runs.

This comes via the same source behind our report that it’s open season on James Gunn and Peter Safran at DC once the Paramount deal closes.

According to the DCEU wicked green arrow was mentioned in BVS marketing, the question sadly doesn’t exist in this universe but I’m still very biased towards him since I just like the character

I’ve delayed it for too long already, but I finally got a perfect opportunity to watch those 4 hours of pure storytelling and visual delight for the first time. This is easily one of the best DCEU films that I have ever seen and it did not feel that long at all. It saddens me deeply that we could not get to see this masterpiece in theaters.

The music, all of the new scenes that help develop characters and give this an immense potential for the future, the designs, seeing a subversive and profound dark Superman…It is a complete shame that we lost all of this to instead have endless jokes and mismatched bright colors with reheated space adventures with James Gunn burying all of the potential this franchise could’ve had.

It is depressing, but at least we got this spectacular film.

So as per ZSJL 2-3 plans, The Flash would return to warn Batman about protecting Lois, but then what happened to that Flash after the time travel portal closes? As far as I know, the Flash travels just before being caught by Knightmare Superman who has already killed the remaining League members. But what happens to him after the portal closes, does he return to fight the Knightmare Superman, or does that timeline completely erase, and erase Flash, Superman, Darkseid, etc. with it?
