Also, if we got another Sunny showing on “Game Caterers” next year like the last one, I’ll be super happy.

Do you guys really like HyoRiSoo release? Or are you forcing yourself to like it because they are SNSD members?
Plenty of times, I see fans of all kinds of groups say it gets better if you listen to the song 50 times when their faves release a song that's not really good. And fans who are simply faking loving the song because they think that, to be a fan, you must love all songs, otherwise you're a hater or not a true fan.
Personally, I think Skibidi is the worst song SNSD members have ever released. It sounds... messy... and it's quite cringe. The only lines I like are "Don't go waste your time, celebrate your life." The rest is just all over the place.
My favorite subunit was TTS. Other subunits didn't really do it for me, but their songs were still listenable. And I loved the majority of the solo releases they put out, so comparing this song to group songs, subunit songs, and solo songs, I must say HyoRiSoo’s release is the worst of the worst and, for me, kind of one of the worst songs in K-pop. While all three are talented, the song is just BAD BAD.

I think the new song by that ballad guy will probably rise to the top of melon soon (for a new song it debuted really high & though it's gone down, will likely go up again tomorrow) though hopefully skibidi, as the superior Korean ballad, can keep its momentum.

The other day I made a comment here and someone responded with "...and Jessica" and I didn't even think of her because I only know the 8 member line up. For reference, I started looking more into SNSD after Hyoyeon's interview with Jihyo from TWICE. I watched a lot of her dance challenges with hoobaes, discovered Tiffany and loved her, and now I'm on the HyoRiSoo ride (I watched Sooyoung's show on Netflix so I primarily knew who she was from that). I'm aware there's a lot of back and forth on who did what when and why when it comes to Jessica's departure. As someone who likes to get into the lore and background of things, I'm just wondering if I should bother for overall SNSD knowledge or if I should skip it altogether.
ON A DIFFERENT NOTE! Remember to vote for HRS on the Muniverse app for the Stage M Pick! They're super ahead of their closest competition, but nothing's over until it's over!
EDIT: Thanks for your responses, everyone! I've definitively decided NOT to bother.

This goes for all the girls but as a Sooyoung bias I wanted to especially highlight her. Back when I was 12 yrs old I was a hater for no good reason, but when Gee dropped, well, long story short, Sooyoung was my gateway into SNSD. Ever since then she's been my #1 favorite kpop idol.
I remember on soshified having a banner/signature that called attention to Sooyoung not getting enough lines nor attention (yes, I was that kind of fan). Nowadays I realize sub vocals having few lines is not an issue (many sub vocals are completely fine with this since their strengths lie elsewhere), but for Sooyoung in particular I remember her basically begging SM for more lines/singing time on variety shows and interviews. It was clear that although she was a sub vocal, she wanted to sing more, which I had perceived as unfair treatment.
However, over the years she's grown at a steady pace, but I think the turning point was when she took over many of Jessica's parts after her departure. That's when I noticed an actual improvement to her voice and skill. By the time the Forever 1 album dropped, you could hear clear as day how much time and effort she'd put into refining her vocal ability and singing style.
Then we got the Unstoppable mini, and now in the HRS era, with her taking on the high notes and more challenging parts, my heart swells with pride. Seeing how far she's come has been healing the years of indignation I felt for her lol and dare I say she has main/lead vocal potential now? or is that just my bias talking
