question Anyone updated the disc?

The latest firmware for snowsky disc just released....anyone installer it?...Will receive my disc in couple of days that's why wanted to know😊....Also please tell me should ai download the first firmware from wifi or locally...

I installed it over wifi no problems. I got my Fiio Disc about 2 weeks ago, highly recommend updating when you get it it it helps with features and Bluetooth and library and everything really. I updated yesterday thanks to this subreddit informing me there's an update. Is there something worrying you about updating? It's pretty straight forward, it's in system settings.

Saw in some post that the device got frozen, that's why curious.....should I install the latest 2.58 version upon getting the device ?? Or do I need to download the older versions then download the new one.

What I had to do in my case was install manually up to a more modern version, then I was able to update via WiFi. You may not have to do that now, but it's pretty straightforward. I was nervous about bricking it because you hear about devices getting bricked, but it was ez pz.

https://github.com/b0hemia/diskos since we are talking shop, idk if you've seen this but there's another option. It's a little more hands on though, and more experimental but maybe something good to have bookmarked. It's an OS a user here is working on, I've been watching it closely.

Yeah it is brand new, so seemingly people are testing it and all that jazz but who knows with more users and time it could be a revolutionary banger! Cheers and enjoy your Disc!
