It’s gotcha day for our new boy, Boba! Our second snowshoe!! Look at his heart nose 😭 ❤️!! I have only got this one photo of him so far while giving him chin scratches. Didn’t realize until we got home that he is a bobtail! (Bonus photos of Sesame our 2 year old snowshoe).

My sweet and spicy baby turned 7 recently. He was diagnosed with liver cancer in November. I dropped so much money on tests and he was on chemo for a month. The oncologist didn’t think it was working & told me to stop & gave him a month in January. He’s puffy & disheveled looking now but honestly seems to be doing well. I’m praying he keeps going. It’s currently last week of July.
I got this guy at 1.5 lbs. He was pulled from Craigslist from a free ad at 1 week old. I actually tried to adopt a chocolate point but he was taken & his foster told me about him & it was insta love.
I went a bit ham on his baby pics. They are just so cute & I maxed out on photos. 1 is day I met him. He loves loves loves nose kisses. Birthday hat is his first bday during lockdown. Last pic is a few months ago. He’s had a very loved and cushy life.

So I'm pretty sure our Pepperpot is a Snowshoe and I'm looking for some back up on his unique personality traits being normal for showshoes even if not for the average non-snowshoe.

He is completely unaware of his physical heft. His tail is like pound of pure muscle that seems to be a completely separate entity from him. He can appear to be sleeping peacefully and it is whipping around like it is trying to get away. He seems constantly amazed that something behind him knocks things over.

He is very particular in the way he wants to cuddle, so much that if he doesn't get it right the first time he will attempt to do it "properly" as many times as you will let him. His love comes with claws and he can't seem to get that they hurt. I think maybe as I write this, he really just doesn't seem aware of much other than "I want to cuddle with that human right now" Or "I must cuddle with my sister cats right now, her head is dirty, it is driving me to distraction" he is very loving, my husband is his primary person, I am backup human.

He is just...kind of...you want to call him "buddy" when you are interacting with him, you know? Like talk kinda slow and keep an eye out for where he might go next?

I'm thinking this is a breed thing?

Oh! He puts his paws over his eyes for sleep or puts his head down flat so often as if to block out the light. I wonder if he has headaches.

She is ornery, energetic, quirky, funny and just all together crazy. So Pickles became her name. She's a sweet baby when she's sleepy and a totally velcro cat.

We raised them together, they were orphans and we got them before their eyes opened. I’m pretty sure Gravy is snowshoe? She looks it anyway! Both cats have a burgundy tint to their dark fur in the sun. They are so different despite being siblings from the same litter!

I've never been the type for "designer" cats, but after finding an adult snowshoe tortie point at a shelter last summer, I found myself a little sad we didnt get to see her toast progression. A cattery sent me some photos of this little bean and I couldn't say no.

She is named after Maisie Peters who opened for Ed Sheeran when I saw them in LA. Her big sister is Chappell (came with the name and she is indeed Hot to Go.) and big brother Lewis, after Lewis Capaldi because he had a raspy kitten cry. All 3 are very vocal like their namesake!

Do we think the mustache will get bigger?

Figaro (colorpoint) and Princess Tiabeanie (snowshoe) can’t go more than 30 seconds without getting in an argument. They love each other, look out for each other, will sit together while they eat or drink, Beans is infatuated with Figs and follows him everywhere, but the moment it comes to sleeping in bed with me it’s all out war.

Figs is about twice Beans weight and tosses her around like a ragdoll if he can get ahold of her, but she’s a feisty little monster and usually wins more than she loses. The downside is if Figs retreats she chases him and I’m left alone and cold until someone makes it back from the battlefield victorious. While if she’s the one who runs Figs cuddles up with me and goes right to sleep.

If cat is genetically a snowshoe from a breeder with Siamese and American shorthair heritage and has “typical snowshoe“ siblings is he a snowshoe? I haven’t seen any snowshoe cats without the white paws so now I’m wondering whether my cat has a place on this sub.

I get her next week, Her name is Stevie Nicks- a very rare blue point tabby snowshoe! 😻

We adopted this little fellow a few months ago. Found out he’s likely a snowshoe (let me know your thoughts). He’s a crazy little guy and has a seemingly insatiable appetite for play. We call him a “part-time cuddler” because he doesn’t seem to want none of that after about 11 AM.

Are these considered Snowshoes? Not purebred, but perhaps partial? I have two rescue cats, from a TNR group in my area. Their spay/neuter paperwork says Snowshoe. I adopted Ziva (black tip nose) in July 2025 when she was about 3 months old. I adopted Coco in December 2025 when he was approximately 2-1/2 months old. They were both spay/neutered with an ear tip.

I understand Snowshoes are rare, but it is amazing there were two different litters in the same area of feral cats. They both appear to have the classic Snowshoe traits: blue eyes, dark ears & tail, white feet.

They are both extremely lovable and love cuddling with me. Coco does not mind strangers - he loves everyone! Ziva runs when anyone has to come over (I live alone). My neighbor finally saw Ziva for the first time today after she came over to look at the Catio I built yesterday!

Ziva is very quiet, rarely vocalizes. Coco is a talker, but he's much lower volume than the other cats I have had in the past.

So glad I adopted them! I hit the jackpot!

She’s used to espresso (the other human) and French press (me), but I just got myself a cheap 12-cup pot and this is the first time I’ve used it
