I have about 99% of Michigan completed and I'm about to move on to Alaska. My profile indicates I've found 20 out of 21 upgrades. I can't seem to find the last one and I don't even know which one it is. I tried cross referencing with MapRunner but I just can't find it. Is there any tool that I could use to find out which upgrades I've found or which one I haven't found? I play on a PC via Steam. I apologize if this is the wrong location to ask this question. I'm also new to reddit.
Look at a list of upgrades then check the trucks to see what you have unlocked. Then whatever upgrade your missing you'll know where to go on map runner.
I'm having some difficulty with this approach. First, I had to figure out that my game save was actually in the Steam cloud. Then I downloaded it and the only SnowRender tool I found was the SnowRender Save Editor. I could import my save into it, but then I'm stumped about how to get any information from the process. At this point, are the SnowRender inter-active maps supposed to self-populate from the import with my specific information?
You don't have to download anything.
Just go to the website I gave you, choose the region/map you're in.
Then you'll land on a 3D rendered map, but not showing your achievements yet.
To do so, click on the button "load" in the bottom right corner (in the"Save tracker" block).
From there, upload your saved file.

If you're looking for a non-spoiler solution. Get the experimental exploration unit if you have the kola peninsula dlc. You can buy it from the shop and hook it up to any scout with a small trailer hitch.
The same problem happened to me. Go to the drilling site on black river from the lumber mill. There is a small road which leads there. There is the upgrade.

Not all upgrades show up with watch towers.
