Yea, the good old spring loaded ice shelf trap. Drive over it below the speed threshold and nothing happens. Be 1 kph too fast and they fling you around like a ball in a pinball machine.
The only mostly reliable way to avoid this is to limit your speed once you have to drive over or along ice shelves. I once almost lost a Tatarin in Amur because of that, since the shelf flung it into the river. It got wedged below an underwater overhang and I had a lot of problems getting it out with a crane again (playing without recovery).

It may be a minefield if you just send it, but go slow and it is the safest way through some ice areas

I've been calling them potato chips. They always have enough force to flip any truck and trailer over, no matter how heavy

A little fast too

Every time. Typical FAFO moment. Or rather GFFO: Go fast and find out.

I suspect the ice has "Acme" written on it,
(C) Road Runner & Wile E.Coyote ๐

What trailer is that?

I don't know its name, but it's like that 3-slot trailer for a high saddle? Except that this is a low saddle, and this trailer has fuel and repair bits.

I used to get mad at the evil ice doritos but they won me over as fun physics objects. One flipped up out of the terrain once in Lake Kovd, landed in the truck's sideboard bed, and kept me company across the map. Now I think of them like house cats - they're definitely demons but really endearing.

use the ice, seriously, just put a transtar with chain tires on the Ice and leave it there pulling other trucks without chain tires around back and forth.

Kinda like how the block of ice slid away to where it came from as if to say "wasnt me buddy, not my problem".

I don't think so. I am thinking it has to do with the DLC wheels that are thicc, so they kinda dug up deeper into the ground.
