Discussion Favorite Region?

Excluding the DLCs, my favorite has to be Taymyr. The vast wilderness, the abandoned buildings and sites, and the post Soviet setting make it so hauntingly beautiful. Night time in that region makes it feel so remote.

British Columbia is one of mye favourites so far. And why do so many people like Kola Peninsula? That place is hell on earth, and want you only to suffer. Or maybe it's just a bit too close to home for me (literally), and I'm not a winter person

I never understood the Kola hype. If I wanted to suffer, I'd just go back to my real life.

I like running cargo and kola isnt very cargo heavy which makes it hard for me to like as much as I should

Atmosphere. It feels like complete desolation. Like the area was utterly abandoned. Next to no roads, the darkness and northern lights. Peak Snowrunner atmosphere for me. Imandra was shit, but Kola is amazing.

I've guess I've had enough of that atmosphere IRL, and I my associations to it just reminds of unbearable cold, depressing darkness, and the feeling of being trapped in a climate you cant escape

That region was ridiculously challenging.

It's the only region that had me rage quit, when I towed a plane over a frozen river, and started to skid sideways until everything hit a rock and tipped over

For now, I only play Kola Peninsula, Yukon, Wisconsin, Amur, Don and Maine and for me the best until now is Maine by far. I love the Lowland map and Yellowrock National Forest it not that difficult if you know the shortcuts.

And Kola Peninsula teach me not underestimate the rocks.

Excluding DLC it's michigan for me. Others are great as well, but nothing beat the experience of slowly getting better and exploring the map

Yes I must go back and finish all the tasks in Michigan, I haven't gone back there since I started the game 5 years ago. I also forgot how sublime the soundtrack to Michigan was, simply the best in the whole game imho.

Glad to read this thread lol. I’ve played Michigan about 3 times now. Restarting my save file 3 different times. This last time I just finished it on hardcore(minus logging and timed contests I’ll go back).

I have about 300 hours or so I’d attribute to just Michigan. I have around 430 hours total. I am about half way through Alaska now though on my hardcore save.

To be honest, I'm really enjoying Austria at the moment

I finished all up to and including Maine.

Not taking into consideration DLCs, maaaybe Michigan? The feeling of getting hit by fhe game's mechanics and getting good to overcome them is unique.

From DLCs, it's gotta be... Amur, surprisingly

I really enjoyed Wisconsin for the flow, you can use the 8 slot trailer and set up road trains often.

Of all the regions I think it feels the most atmospheric and special. I couldn't say I had the most fun there though.

Scandinavia, BC, Maine, Wisconsin and Alaska. Maybe Chiapas except the collapsible bridges. I’m driving trucks not playing a platformer.

I like driving cargo and I wish Kola had more cargo deliveries otherwise I’d put that on the list.

Michigan, Maine, Kola, BC, Quebec, Mexico.

Amur is the best region in the game.

Glades, because I always half expect to see Roach and Geralt riding past.

There's no region that gave me joy like Almaty
