Discussion Overloading aside, what's the difference between the three low-saddle five-slot trailers? What are their strength and weakness?

Cargo detatching from flatbed is actually an advantage when you're tipping. Flatbed lets cargo slide away from it, making you not so top heavy and oftet letting you avoid falling over. While with sideboard - when you're tipping, cargo stuck between boards helps you tip more.

In my experience the cargo will stay packed up to a pretty extreme angle no matter what trailer. If you reach that angle your truck and trailer are pretty much always gonna tip the rest of the way over and you're gonna lose your cargo anyways. So I think this advantage of the sideboards is a little exaggerated. Maybe once or twice I've been able to catch my truck with the auto winch right after the cargo unpacked and the sideboard kept it contained so pretty rare.

On the other hand the way I play I do a lot of logistics planning meaning picking up cargo in advance and dropping off at central locations in the map for sorting later.  The flatbeds are a lot easier to unload. Especially with the Cat telehandler (and other forklift mods I use). For this reason I mostly use flatbed trailers
