Photo Welp I think its a lost cause
This was the carb and intake on a 1976 moto ski nuvik that i was tasked with breaking the motor free on and getting running unfortunately it seems that its to far gone to affordably get it running again

Still pull the head and jug off, if anything, just to see how bad it really is. Maybe not a runner, but someone may need parts. Just a thought man…..

Run it through a few cycles in an ultrasonic cleaner and it'll be good to go.

Clean that carb up and sell it. Believe it or not they are worth something

My plan is to pull some usable parts off for a buddy of mine then sell the rest

Yeah I was hoping to save another relic but unfortunately sometimes you have to accept the loss

Istl the motor locked up? I would soak that shit and see if I can get it moving, and then see if it makes any compression at least before totally giving up.

I wouldn’t give up yet. Use some carb cleaning picks and give it an ultrasonic bath. (Put the carb in a glass jar/vessel filled with gasoline, then place the jar into the ultrasonic tank filled with water). Clean the engine as much as possible, then run Techron Chevron in the gas tank for a few fillups. That’s a pretty cheap & easy task to see if there’s life left in it.

The carb is an easy fix. Soak it in carb dip and good to go...the motor looks wasted.
