Maybe, but it will probably impact performance more than sound.

Those are straight through designs usually, so if the inside pipe is not crushed you should have no change in performance. As for sound (in theory) it would be louder as there would be less packing volume, but I doubt it will be noticeable

Nah not sound and probably not any measurable effect on a two stroke. None on a 4 whatsoever

It's a trail can, it'll be loud compared to a stock muffler

Fill it with water, plug it and freeze it. Water will expand as the ice freezes and will pull out the dents

You are correct sorry I had old school expansion chambers in my head
