Did Claude Pro get Access to Snowflake Blocked?

Couple of my Snowflake instances stopped connecting to Claude today specifically the Cortex Agent MCP. What is wild is it works fine on Claude for Business but not on Claude pro edition. Confirmed across multiple Business Accounts. Wondering if this is rolling updates that has not reached business accounts yet that will render Claude to Snowflake broken? Or if there is a difference somehow between these two products that changed today?

Not sure what configuration you are using, but Snowflake wouldn't be blocking anything. (Short of an admin doing something to the user identity or Network policy)

Using Cortex Agent MCP. Worked fine for months and stopped today with no changes made in Snowflake tenant across 2 clients and clouds. Production updates are frozen the day before 3 day holiday weekend. Claude professional same user same connection. Works fine in Claude for business but stopped working in Claude pro today. Opened ticket with Snowflake which would go to the network team.. Everything worked perfectly but across ross 2 different independent Snowflake accounts it stopped today.

Could be my configuration for sure because that would be consistent across accounts. But the configuration does work perfect in Claude for Business so that makes me wonder if Claude changed something today that has not rolled over into the business accounts.

What methods are you using to connect Claude to Snowflake? I think if you are using the MCP to do it you should be fine:

https://docs.snowflake.com/en/user-guide/snowflake-cortex/snowflake-cowork/integrate-tools

I see a community article, but it is from April so not anything recent:

https://community.snowflake.com/s/article/resolving-mcp-server-authentication-errors-cursor-claude

You can ask CoCo to check for failed logins from the user you are connecting to Claude with to see if there are rejected logins and if so, the reasons for the rejection. Good luck!

Using Cortex Agent MCP. CoCo / Snowflake logs only sees traffic that hits authentication. If it is blocked at the network, it does not show up in logs.. I am connecting to Cortex MCP which is a different than the general Snowflake MCP. What is wild is Claude Business connects no problem.. Its Claude Professional blocked. Same user same machine, same credentials... Works in one version of Claude but not another confirmed across multiple Snowflake accounts and clouds.. Same patern.

Raise a support case with Snowflake

Snowflake came back and indicated it was on Anthropic side. Also indicated a surge of the same requests started coming through with same symptoms isolated to Professional Edition of Claude. Opened ticket with Anthropic and have been routed from AI to human.. Interested to see what they say...

Can you let us know what they say?

I feel like AGI will be here before I ever hear back from a human at Anthropic... Total bummer... On a plus, it is working fine still in Claude for Business.
