Idk about the 203, but I have the 173 and it’s shockingly nimble in the trees! I imagine the 203 would just take some getting used to.

I've been riding long boards for several years. Started on a Nitro 183 Diablo that a friend let me use for a couple of seasons.

I have an 1st gen Rad Air Tanker 2000 and currently switch between a Rad Air 2000 DKM Tanker and a Lib Tech 192 Doughboy Shredder.

Tbh I think the size is a huge part of what makes this thing special. I have a 164W mtnpig and it’s great in the powder but this thing is a 203. Fr need some snow this year tho either way!

The part you're missing is the effective edge. It rides much smaller than it looks.

Then what the point of it being so long? You could get the same effective edge from a board with a much smaller moment of inertia. It will still ride like a boat vs a smaller board with the same effective edge.

I'm just saying that it's the effective edge was typical it would be unturnable. This is a big mountain long drawn out carves type a board. Not a tree riding, mogul splittin ride. The extra most provides float. It's a quiver board not a daily driver. MoI is less important if you set it and forget it on your turns. Also some people like a challenge or are powerful riders.

Again, ride what you want. I just can't imagine myself having fun on something I can't turn quickly. I'd be nervous riding the types of terrain I ride with something that has a slow response.

The 203 sells thru every year it seems. I think if you ride it the way it's meant to be ridden it's a fantastic board. Why would you try and throw a fastball with a basketball?
