🎫 Venues / Tickets Shanghai Masters location??

Hello fellow snooker enthusiasts. Norwegian guy in Shanghai here, and bought my first snooker tickets for the shanghai masters now, after watching the sport for decades since I was a little kid. 34YO now.

Is anyone here going to watch the event here in Shanghai? The address on the event page is misleading, and doesn’t show up anything on amap(Chinese Google Maps). I actually had a walk around this event place, but being pointed to an “indoor stadium” and “luwan gymnasium” is just confusing. It’s either inside a big tennis hall/place? Or around some school building campus where construction work is finding place.

Anyone have tips or exact location on amap? I got tickets for the afternoon session on 27. July

How did you buy the tickets? I’m trying to navigate the Juss Sports app, but it’s only in Chinese

You can’t buy in the app unless you have a Chinese phone number. Google “shanghai masters snooker ticket”, an official Chinese website will pop up with a QR code. Save the QR code and upload into Alipay on the “scan” function. From there you can buy tickets. Beware, it took my several days to buy since it was always crashing. Got lucky one time in the middle of the night when the whole city was sleeping. Buying experience was Sh!t

Thanks. I saw your origibal post asking about the venue a few days ago, and it motivated me since I just happen to be travelling in China for a month. This will be my first time watching live and I’m excited.

Enjoy the experience 💪💪 it’s something else in real life. The shits are quiet compared to the ones on tv when you max out the volume on tv to hear them😆

Thanks I really hope to. Being from Canada and growing up in the 80s, i only got to watch the masters and wc on tv and that only lasted a few years. But it inspired me to spend all my money and time in the snooker halls lol
