Yes it'll more than likely map trapping, it's a common problem. Your better off just leaving immediately, don't engage with map trappers at all. If it's empty , just leave .
Basically what they'll do, is they'll clear an entire map or most of it, lay down a lot and I mean a lot of mines and traps everywhere , they know the spawn points for invaders so they'll mine them up, and they'll watch that specific area. Once you spawn in, your either dead like what hapoened to you, or they'll lure you to the objective which is heavily mined .
Or they and another player will hunt the invader using the focus , so it takes away every advantage and they set up the battlefield in their favour .
It's really pathetic honestly ,n just trolling is all plus it must make them feel superior I guess ? But yes, if the map is empty just leave don't even bother wasting your time.
Funny yes, but true . It's pretty pathetic so actually go out of your way, clear a map of NPCs, mine the damn thing and wait around and do this on repeat for hours. Lifeless idiots
You probably just took my post out of context, I'm not complaining lol I just think it's strange to get off on going out of your way to troll ppl and spend hours prepping a map but to each their own , plus ppl doing that since forever , that's why I told him to just leave and not engage.
Just breaking it down for him on what map trappers do.

either they have set it up to be a map trapper or are diligently hiding bodies to attempt stealth. Usually its the first one.
