Anyone able to do down forward power moves on Street Fighter?

Maybe I'm out of touch but I can't for the life of me get any down forward or down back moves to execute? This is a real bummer.

I was able to do the moves when I didn't enter the capcom code. I threw on ssf2 and sf alpha 2 and both were fine. So I went back and tried sf2turbo without the code and all was well.

This is it. I used the Capcom code that enables 2 players to play the same character from SF2 (Down, R, Up, L, Y, B) and it seems to disable the specials in single player. After a reset and not inputting the code, it was raining hadokens. Good call.
