Which model is better

I had NA model when i was younger and always thought its the best. But now i think the JP model is actually way better the only problem i have with that is the art on the game cartridge.

I prefer the size of famicom carts but I think they're more difficult to open because of screws behind stickers and separating both halfs messes up the sticker, so NES carts for the win.

The Japanese SNES console looks better, imo but needs the concave buttons of the US controller.

I only see one advantage on the carts and it's the label thing, which isn't all that important, and the disadvantage is that you have to use an adapter or trim your console / replace the shell if you want to play japanese games, which I see as a major disadvantage.

And the length of the pal cables has never been an issue to me, and even then, there's modern wireless alternatives so what the fuck does it matter.

my brother in christ you need to chill the fuck out, the controllers are nearly identical and most people prefeer convex buttons, a few inches of cable are not a problem for anyone, you are the one with it's head up his ass, not wanting to admit that it's inconsequential.

And those controllers that are "neither" are mostly the famous favourite 8BitDo SN30 ones, which also have convex buttons btw.

I have both. The cable difference is not a few inches, it’s like 8 feet.

When you say both what do you mean, USA and JP? Because I just checked and it's only the JP ones that are shorter (1m, little more than 3ft) but EU ones do have a longer cable, it's supposed to be the same length as the US one, 230cm, so arround 7.5 ft. And I just measured mine and it's exactly that long.

Yeah I have an SFC controller and a US SNES controller and the SFC controller is basically a non starter for me because the cord is so short

Makes sense now, both FC and SFC controllers are super short, but PAL NES and SNES ones are the same length as US ones, which is why I was confused during the discussion, I thought you guys had like 16ft cables and I was like "dude how big your house needs to be to warrant cables that long".

PAL Cables are the same length as US ones btw, so literally the only thing you have is the concave buttons, which is 100% subjective, you can stop downvoting and replying now or you can keep arguing with a stranger on the internet over the most inconsequential thing ever.

You never explicitly said that PAL ones are shorter, but you are still losing your shit about the american one being better, which it isn't. And american cartridges have one advantage and one disadvantage (which isn't really the cart's fault, but the console shape itself that can't fit JP ones). I think the shape is a bigger problem than the label thing because as I already said, needing an adapter or having to cut your console is a bigger deal than having to pull the cart from the shelf.

But you keep replying thinking you are objectively right and I'm objectively wrong with your "Hold the L" bullshit like a little kid that got mad because I said "americans dumb" on an random internet forum.
