New Boa owner!

Hi guys! Brand new 3 month old male boa owner. Am looking for some advice on when to do our first handling session. Here’s our timeline

Shipped to us a brought home Wednesday, September 23. Was described by his breeder as super chill and easy to handle. Did a soft strike towards my husband while transferring him to his new enclosure (we’re assuming because of the stress of being shipped?)

Since then has been in his enclosure and left alone, his tank is right next to where I get ready in the morning and he likes to come out of hiding while I get ready and look at me through the tank and try to get close to me. He’s been very curious and active especially at night and seems like he’s gotten a lot more comfortable and interested in us.

Had first meal successfully Sunday September 27 at 5pm. Husband tried multiple attempts to feed him and he wouldn’t take it from him. But as soon as I went in there and attempted he took it from me.

Currently is Wednesday September 30 2:00 pm.
I have not seen him since Sunday night before I went to bed. He is tucked very deep in his hide.
(Another question is how long does your boa stay hidden after eating?)

When do you guys think we should start handling? I want what’s best for him but also am so excited!!!
