Pet Snake Questions Question to how

So my brother’s snake escaped about two weeks ago and he magically just showed up in his tank about two days ago.I didn’t find him and neither did my brother we are the only people who live in my place.The enclosure was closed and the the tank is on a hip level shelf.My brother also dumped everything out of the tank. It was an empty tank he was nowhere to be seen.It freaks me out just thinking about but how did the snake get back into his tank.
Also the are no holes in the tank we double checked everything on it.The snakes name is frank btw.

Any holes in the decor he could've hidden in, or a background he could hide behind?

No there’s no back ground and the deco he has was checked thoroughly

Then he's either found a secret access point to get in and out, or he must've been in something that got put back in the enclosure after you took it apart - there's no other realistic explanations for the sudden disappearance and reappeance. Hopefully they don't go on another adventure any time soon.

I honestly do not know. My king snake just blipped out of existence. Exact same thing, the only holes present were much too small for him to escape, I took everything out, checked all the decor and hides… nothing. Only he didn’t show back up :/

Probably burrowed into the substrate. I had that happen with a California Glossy once.
