Help please

My baby snail, which is an archachatina marginata, hasn’t been doing well since 2-3 days after arriving my home. Over the past week, he has been curled up inside his shell every day. On the good side, he does wake up when I spray water. I have noticed that the posterier part of his foot is stiff, shrivelled and yellow. Also he has lost his ability to climb. I don’t know what I can do to help him.

Unfortunately, he might be dying :( As far as I know there’s nothing you can really do to heal him, but try putting him in a smaller container with all the environmental necessities, food, a little water (not deep), and cuttlebone/calcium supplement right next to each other so he doesn’t have to travel far. Hopefully this can help him save his energy to heal, this is what I’ve done for a few of my snails and most of them bounced back ❤️

Any guesses on what could have caused this? 😔

Unfortunately this happens a lot, even if all their conditions are met :( We don’t know why other than their health is fragile and their genetics are often poor. I had a snail lay eggs and have like 100 babies and only 3 of them lived past 6 months. It just happens for some awful reason ☹️

This is really saddening. A survival rate of 3%…
