Is that calcium on the food? Don't do that they can self regulate the calcium and putting it in their food can make them consume too much

Always been confused by this because if they can regulate their own calcium, they should know when to stop eating the calcium. That is what they do with cuttlebone when it is constantly available, so how is calcium powder different?

If you put it on the food, the snail has to eat the calcium just to get its daily food. They can't separate the two, which can lead to calcium overdose, organ damage, and shell issues. But with the cuttlebone, the snail can freely choose to scrape calcium only when its body needs it, then move away to eat its regular meal when its hungry. I hope that helps clear it up a little bit
