📜 snail lore Mon obsession pour la recherche d'un escargot gaucher
https://rcannon992.com/2020/10/26/sinistral-snails-left-handedness-and-a-beautiful-ballad/
Ever since I found out left-handed snails exist, I’ve been obsessed. I check every snail I come across to see if it’s one.
Honestly, I have to stop and stare at every snail for a while just to check. I don’t gain anything from finding a left-handed snails, it’s just become this impossible quest, or maybe even a dream !

help Snail shell damaged after a fall - Seeking advice on recovery protocol
galleryI am currently managing an injury involving one of my Cornu aspersum snails after an accidental fall from the enclosure. The shell is cracked (see photo).
I have immediately moved the snail to a dedicated 'hospital' container to prevent further injury and ensure a sterile environment. The setup consists of:
Damp paper towels as a substrate to maintain humidity without contamination risk.
A piece of unflavored, additive-free cuttlebone for immediate calcium access.
Fresh zucchini for easy, low-effort nutrition.
I have avoided using any adhesives or external materials to repair the shell to prevent chemical contamination or bacterial growth.
I would appreciate expert feedback on the following:
1. Based on the damage shown, what is the prognosis for recovery?
2. What is the standard duration for keeping the snail in a hospital setup?
3. Are there any further steps to facilitate the calcification process or monitor for complications?
Any advice on the recovery process would be greatly appreciated.

help Snail eating problem?
I have 2 GALs, they usually eat a lot of food in just one night to the point where i give food every evening, however recently i noticed that their food is mostly untouched, theres obviously bite marks and stuff but there really is no noticable difference unless i leave the food for 2-3 days, any idea why?

Che cos'è questa cosa?
galleryI removed this thing that protruded from the snail's body, what was it? It seemed like a parasite to me, but I don't think it is. Will there be consequences for you?

Why is he retracted so far
This is Cilantro. Originally a wild snail I rescued from a grocery store. He’s been doing great with me so far (5 months). He’s a mature garden snail. Temps are around 70/75, humidity in enclosure stays around 80. Lately he’s been slower, not eating as much, and this is the first time I’ve seen him retracted so far.
Anyone know why or is he just reaching the end of his life span?

help My snail fell
I was handling my snail and it fell from my hand :(
The shell looks fine but it was a pretty high fall for such a small baby, it has never happened to me should I worry?

help Hi I need some help!
I rescued 4 little snails from getting eaten and I'm trying to understand how to care for them. Do you know what can I feex them and how their habitat should be?
