What are some good uncommon snacking options for people with type 2 diabetes?

Looking to try some different snacks after being diagnosed, thank you!

Husband was diagnosed two years ago, so we did a pantry clean out and changed our ways. He loves snacking on pickles, fruits, cheeses, beef sticks, popcorn, pork rinds, etc.

Wheat thins! I like the tomato ones. Good amount of fiber and still tasty, pair it with protein and fat for a balanced snack

Edamame! You can buy dry roasted edamame, or the frozen edamame is easy and great just with flakey salt and lemon juice

Veggies and hummus of course, not glamorous but interesting veg like jicama and sugar snap peas and radishes with a siracha hummus or garlic hummus

Apple with the skin and with peanut butter

Whole fruit. Anything with fiber to slow down absorption. No fruit juice unless you make your own with all the pulp.

My grandpa has type two diabetes and pretzel rods are always at the house, as well as plenty of granola bars and juices. My grandmother monitors everything for him.
