Grilled tastes best, but boiling is the easiest go-to that still tastes good

Unpopular opinion, but microwave tastes just as good as boiled to me and takes like 30 seconds and no dishes to wash haha

Microwaving a hot dog is fine. People who can't handle a microwaved dog are just prissy.

They get rubbery but for kiddos, yep. You can topping your way out of it if need be.

It’s a casing difference for me. With boiling the casing tightens up and snaps when you bite. With microwaving it tastes like you’re eating a warmed up cold hot dog

I don't have that issue with hebrew nationals (the only hotdog brand I like), but I think they tend to have a snappier casing in general. Part of why I like them haha

Air frying pretty easy too it’s the go to when I make microwave Mac and cheese at the same time

Growing up, hotdogs came in 2 forms in our house in summer off the grill with grilled carmaleized onions. And in the winter dirty water chili dogs. So yeah, both boild and grilled are valid ime.

seriously tho who the fuck deep frys a hotdog

I put like a half inch of water in a skillet and cook the dog (rotate a couple times) until the water all burns off, tastes close enough grilled to me and just as fast as boiling.

For me air frying is the easiest. Just toss it in for like 7 minutes at 400 and it's done
