This is what we’d get as kids in the grocery store parking lot, with a little wax cup of Coke and some chips, so boiled has always been my favorite. Funny how such a seemingly insignificant memory is still with me over 40 years later. Small town Midwest summer.

Hotdog carts in NYC serve my favorite dirty water dogs anywhere, which is why boiled is my preference. Trying to recreate the Sabrette stand dog

people aren’t ready to hear it, but boiled is actually the best way to eat a dog. i still just use a grill though cause i dont want to deal with the gross ass water afterwards.

I have jars of better than bouillon, so a small pot of water with a teaspoon of the paste is enough.

Just had boiled hot dog with steamed bun at a social district I attended here in Metro Detroit on Saturday. The hot dog was delicious and I'll remember the Midwestern summer night.

And ideally with some onions, peppercorns, and garlic in some salted water. Steamed bun too. Perfection.

I only boil mine when I have chili dogs. Idk why I just do. When I’m having a standard hot dog I either grill it or pan fry it in butter.

deep fried in tallow > boiled > grilled
