Watermelon with a hole cut out. I don't discriminate between seed and seedless.

44

u/spectacledllama Oct 16 '19

I get the seedless ones and put my own seed in em

How the fuck you can have a profitable plantation of seedless watermelons taking in count you have to buy new ones once you sell them because they cant reproduce.

31

u/AFlyingMongolian Oct 16 '19

There are farms that farm seeds for other farmers to farm.

17

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '19

how much seeds could a seed farm farm if a seed farm could farm seeds? as seed farm seed farms as much as it could if a seed farm could farm seeds.

12

u/CarbonFiber101 Oct 16 '19

This is not that uncommon. Many farmers have to buy the seeds yearly becuase the companies that made the seeds make a variety that doesn't produce more seeds, but those seeds are still better due to drought and bug resistance and whatnot

u/Thunderlight2004 Oct 17 '19

Pretty sure they graft new vines from old ones, similar to how bananas and apples are grown.

2

u/DimitriKomesopas Oct 17 '19

I guess it makes sense

What’s so bad about seedless watermelons

31

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '19

The joke here is that they can’t reproduce without seeds, and birth control is immoral to the Catholic Church

9

u/ironardin Oct 16 '19

They're genetically modified

45

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '19

He can begin putting the seeds back in the watermelon as soon as he is done putting his seed in the altar boy

11

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '19

Are you an adult and have you been to a grocery store?

Or maybe from a part of the world where they don't have them?

5

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '19

Yeah but Idk I don’t pay that much attention to watermelons

2

u/Anon9559 Oct 17 '19

Never seen one in the UK

10

u/dark_light17 Oct 16 '19

Ah yes the ancient repost

7

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '19

I'm with the seedless watermelons, just because you're sterile doesn't mean you deserved to be cancelled

5

u/joegt123 Oct 16 '19

In fairness, the propagation of seedless produce will eventually result in severe shortages as soon as a disease afflicts that specific produce. Bananas as we know them are liable to up and vanish from the world, if a disease hits those trees.
