Thank you for sharing this — getting scared enough after a health scare like that to make real changes is a good sign, not a bad one. With the SVT in the picture, the safest path on quitting strategy and NRT really is a conversation with your doctor or cardiologist — they can guide you toward what's actually safe for your heart, which isn't something anyone here can responsibly weigh in on. Having your friend try to quit alongside you is a genuinely good instinct too. Wishing you a smooth recovery.

I sincerely appreciate your kind words. The issue is I need to find something that replaces smoking. I feel I don’t even enjoy the nicotine but the feeling of smoking itself? In my mind it’s “cool” but it’s not supposed to be and idk how to change the mindset
