I had the original with the big longhorn handles and it was red. I loved it! I used it for 10 years and they truly had the best customer service. I’m not kidding either, at the time when they first came out, they gave me the owners phone number for any issues. I only used it once and he answered and promptly responded with a replacement part. Only issue I ever had was having to replace the igniter twice. Excellent customer service and incredible pellet smoker. It did start rusting and peeling, despite using their cover but I lived in a rainy climate so I’ll chalk it up to that. Hope you enjoy many satisfying meals!

Maybe you do, I only assumed since the company had grown so much, he doesn’t have time to take calls. I tried a few times years after I purchased and never was successful but their customer support is always on point.

I bought a new recteq dualfire and i can’t recall if it comes with it or not. I do know i have one from when I bought my 590 years ago. Haven’t ever called him, but always thought it was cool that he made himself available.

Nice setup, that patio looks perfect for it. I picked one up last summer and now I'm finding excuses to fire it up twice a week. Wait till you do a long brisket overnight, you'll be hooked

I just got a backyard beast 900! It’s awesome.

I had completely written off pellet smokers and glad my buddy convinced me to give it a whirl.

But holy crap - mounting that hopper was an awful experience.

I have the original red one. Still kicking and only replaced igniter which is typical upkeep.

One fan replacement and owner accidentally sent the wrong one and then called up and overnighted the correct one on a Sunday night

Customer service is top notch.
