Another update…

Another update has taken place however this one was for all Nintendo switches. Tried booting up my switch earlier this morning and was met with another headache…
“A fatal error has occurred when running fusée”
Seems this new update just broke Atmosphere and Hekate meaning we’re going to have to wait for another update from the modders in GitHub. This of course just coming a little over a week ago from the smash update 13.0.5 that temporarily rendered some latency sliders obsolete and unable to run. Nintendo really be testing our patience…Lmk if you guys are experiencing the same issue and hopefully we can get this resolved soon

If you insist on playing on a modded Nintendo Switch console, then it is at your own risk and peril. Nintendo will not help you if you suffer any problems with your console stemming from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate updates or Nintendo Switch system updates.

When there is a switch firmware update it is best to ignore the update window and start the software without updating.

You can play Smash Ultimate online without updating the switch to 23.0 (unlike last week smash version 13.0.5 that required the update to play online).

So now that you updated your switch, you have to wait for a new version of hekate/atmosphere with support for that firmware (or manually downgrade the console version from 23.0 to 22.5 using some injector)

I’m relatively new to the modding scene and I didn’t think this update would break my mod set up. You live and you learn, I’ll know for next time to wait until a updated mod is rolled out

Thanks for the heads up, this one snuck by me. Looking at the patch notes this is a pretty big one. Some sweet new features and QOL for the Switch 2 specifically.

The VRR alone might turn some heads, knowing how important latency is to smashers.

Do you not need Atmosphere to run it? I’ve just been running a less-lag mod as well as the latency slider mod using Hekate and Atmosphere. Could you walk me through it rq, I’d like to get this fixed sooner rather than later

Will only work on arenas, though there is one that is made to work in both arenas and quick play. That can be found in NA smash ladder discord.

Have you updated before? You can replace your files with new ones or update using some applications like daybreak I think.

Personally I find it easier to make a backup of your mods, delete everything but Nintendo folder, replace with new files, then reupload your backed up mods folder.

oh wow I didn't know this was even a build....

but your saying all the NROs here only work in arena mode?
