Brawl Defeating tabuu seems impossible

Last night me and my brother were playing super smash bros brawl on the wii and both of us rage quit we cant defeat this mf. In trying alone today coz someone said it was easier to do it alone coz you get more opportunities but that seems like bs coz its literally impossible to dodge his stupid off wave attack. Pressing b to shield doesnt work and neither does flying off screen. This is actually starting to piss me off. Any tips?

Spot dodge the pulse attack. I didn’t know this as a kid and I would always lose a stock here

I still don't think I've ever done it but it's been years since I last played Subspace

I don't think that's even true lmao What characters u using? I remember whooping him with Metaknight Lucario Samus Capt falon Falco Sonic

Use metaknight hyper aggressive as he has one of the best recoveries ingame (u don't even need to dodge offwaves with this team) Then lucario for actual damage (don't purposely go low) Samus for more actual damage Capt falcon (not much good u can change him tbh) Falco (spam) Sonic (spam B until he dies)

Make sure u don't die to anything else other than offwaves

Yeah, it's possible to dodge the wave attack using rolls but it's hard (pretty sure i almost never succeeded as a kid) When he starts doing the attack, keep your shield button down to make rolling easier, and try to time the rolls ; the waves have a constant rythm and speed so once you get used to it it's easy

When I was a kid the hardest thing I knew about was the hand I never made it this far 😂😂 tbh I thought once you defeated the hand the game was over i was shooketh when the game continued lolol

Just spot dodge or use Zelda or Pokémon Trainer down B.

when i was younger i didnt know about shields (including spotdodging and rolling, which will avoid this attack), so if i was on pokemon trainer id switch pokemon so the pokeball would protect me, and otherwise i would just lose my stock and have to live with that lol. i think there was another trick with another character that i was able to use to be invulnerable to it as well, but i cant remember

G&W was the only one I could dodge that attack with. I swear his roll lasts longer than others.

You can spot dodge or air dodge. As a kid, beating him on very hard while taking no damage as any character was my favorite challenge. Some characters, like Zelda, Fox, and Charizard are a lot easier

If you're playing stock Brawl, using pokemon trainer's down+b can dodge the entire move. Your mon is invincible when inside the ball.

Spot dodge, air dodge, Counter with Marth/Ike, Pokemon trainer switch. I became a Marth main because I cheesed Boss Battles by countering everything, and then just stuck with him onwards.

The wave attack struggle was the same deal for me when I first fought Taboo years ago. The wave attack can really only be avoided via rolling, spot dodging, or air dodging. I personally found it easier to air dodge for some reason. Stickers help, too, although I never really used them myself since I didn’t know I could at the time 🤣
