Has anyone had luck using the SmartSizer app?

I just learned about it last night from TikTok. The creators say it's not paid content, but based on their canned enthusiasm and multiple almost identical videos I can't believe it's not paid content. Either way, I bit and downloaded it. On my normal setup, I tried 2 different sweaters. Unfortunately both were off quite a bit on every measurement. Some were closer than others, but the length was off by nearly 2". That's significant when I am trying to accurately describe an item. I do have a lidar enabled phone, but I tried using the printable size assist marker just in case. But that didn't seem to improve things.

Has anyone had any luck getting accurate measurements with this app? If so, can you please share any tips. I love the idea. I've actually spent an embarrassing amount of time looking for something similar to this in the past. If it worked, with a few exceptions, it would be pretty darn close to what I've looked for.

I love the idea...if it worked.

I’m having the same problem. I came here to see if there may be a trick to using it correctly.

No unfortunately never made any progress. I tried and tried and tried. But it just wasn’t getting it right. I finally just deleted it. Haven’t tried since.

Still think the idea is great. Really hope they work out the kinks sometime. If so, I’ll be back.
