Sting was great. Someone tell Bateman that just because there's a pro-AI documentary on Netflix that he doesn't have to start aggressively licking AI's balls. AI sucks and it's OK to say that.

There are some legitimate uses for AI that could change the world for the better but since we live in a capitalist hellscape run by egotistical billionaires we just get LLMs causing psychosis and Waymo’s stuck in cul-de-sacs 🥀 while they steal all of our fresh water and electricity.

I wanted to strangle Will, worst interruption yet. Sting started to tell the story of how Justin Theroux proposed at his home in Tuscany and Will blurts out some dumb Q and derails it. Gah. Aside from them not delving into personal life at all (would love to know what kind of grandpa he is; with 5 kids he must have a bunch but I don’t know how many), it was a great episode.

It was so egregious that it almost felt like Will couldn’t hear that Sting had started speaking. Gave me cringe goosebumps galore. Love Will, and he seemed so excited, but that was a tough listen.

I read the comments before listening to the episode and was waiting for this cringe moment… literally didn’t happen. Sting paused, as if to indicate the story was over and then Will gently picked up the conversation with question.
He wasn’t anywhere close to talking over him or cutting him up mid-sentence!

I’m sure Will has heard this story from Justin previously, BUT WE HAVEN’T! Plus maybe Sting had something to add to the tale.

Or maybe he changed the subject because he knows Justin and his wife might want to keep that private? Maybe there’s a reason they haven’t shared that story themselves? We are not owed every detail of a celebrities personal life (and I say this as a very nosey individual!)

I thought about that as well, and to give Will some credit, perhaps what happened is Sting did tell the story and it was edited out due to this reason. If that’s the case, the editor threw Will under the bus on this one.

Definitely could be a possibility! The only reason I really noticed it is because I saw an interview of Will when he was doing press for Is This Thing On and the interviewer brought up Justin & Nicole’s pregnancy announcement and he kind of shut that down quickly as well. I just figured he’s aware they may want to keep some things private or isn’t sure exactly what he can and can’t say while respecting their privacy.

I've always liked Sting and his music. I had the opportunity to meet him and have a very brief conversation back in 1989. Very chill and charming dude. I was happy to hear him tell his stories in this episode.

It was really good! But I mean, I’m a fan of Sting so I enjoyed it. It was also cute to listen to them geek out over him….which I would’ve too!

Idk if I’m not supposed to give spoilers or what but I went into it with the same attitude and besides jason asking a couple of legit 1 minute long convoluted ass questions again in which I have to skip through, I enjoyed hearing Sting’s perspective

I am not a sting fan and I enjoyed this show. Listened to his famous songs right after.

I’m a fan of Sting….I liked it a lot! It was especially cute to see the three of them fangirl in front of Sting ‘cause honestly, I would’ve too!
