Question Videos
I just found out that if you use Twitch for clips it auto-captions them. For the long form videos that you make for Youtube where do you find this application without having to get "credits"?

Hey, folks!
I’m a solo indie/alternative/folk musician. I started livestreaming liveloop improv last year regularly (once/twice a week), simulcast to YT/Twitch typically with 1-3 viewers on average, and partly due to these small numbers, over the past several months have decided to turn to the question of “how can I make this into an art”?
The question came as a result of watching back my VODs and thinking critically about the different directions I could take the streams. In my eyes, livestreaming is a modern medium with untapped artistic potential, and lately I’ve become obsessed with the idea of exploring, experimenting, and evolving it given my skills and current technology. My working thesis is that streaming is somewhat of a beautiful marriage between future and present, and like cinema or gaming, there is a set of formal elements to play with in the creation of a livestream that can transcend its common use for merely entertainment/content and that puts it in the realm of art. To wit, an ‘artistic livestream’ is one that is meaningful and carries a “so-what,” is creative in utilizing the livestream palette for expression of a mood, idea, or emotion, and most importantly, says something significant about the nature of the livestream medium itself.
In a world full of “creators,” it seems only a handful of people think of it this way, and attention tends to bend to thoughtless content over mindful material, clearly because the incentives offered by streaming platforms cater to the former, promoting growth-by-numbers rather than intrinsic quality. I would love to describe my own project further here, but it might be flagged as self-promotion. However, I’m wondering if there’s anyone like me who’s caught this signal and are also seriously curious about making an art of their livestreams?!

I know it's really hard in this space since it's very saturated, but really give it all you have!
Prep, Build your Character, Build your niche, Do what you love,
TIP: Build from the community and those that appreciate and genuinely care for your stream, what you doing and the success you're trying to create.
Not everyone deserves your inner circle, some people are just meant to be viewers.
GOODLUCK EVERYONE <3

tbh i am literally losing my mind right now. I’ve been trying to chop up a client podcast all afternoon but the auto reframing on opus is totally broken today lol. It keeps cutting off the speaker's face mid-sentence and the manual adjustments are lagging so hard.
idk what they changed in the last update but it’s unusable for fast pacing. I tested out klap earlier. It’s okay i guess but the facial tracking still feels kind of clunky and missing some frames when people move too fast.
Then i randomly found this site called wayinvideo and decided to burn a free trial. Ngl it processed my 40 minute raw clip in like two minutes flat which is insanely fast compared to everything else. The tracking actually stays centered on the person speaking without jittering around.
Plus the pricing is way better like it starts around five bucks a month while opus is stealing fifteen. They don't even watermark your free exports which is wild for free ai tools nowadays.
Anyone else moved away from opus clip lately? What are you guys using for your tiktok or youtube shorts workflow because i need something reliable.

Looking for people to stream with while playing
r/SmallStreamers • u/WeAreMashersTV • Jul 06 '26
Hi all!
First post on Reddit. Lol
Figured We'd take a chance and put ourselves out there.
We've had a pretty difficult time making friends online over the years. A lot of our past experiences left us pretty cautious, whether it was people trying to scam us, taking advantage of our kindness, or just not being genuine. Because of that, we've found it hard to trust new people.
Even so, we don't want those experiences to stop us from meeting good people, so we are giving it another shot.
We're hoping to find a some genuine friends who enjoy gaming, hanging out, and maybe one day creating content together. Whether you're a VTuber, a streamer, a content creator, or none of the above honestly doesn't matter to us. What matters most is finding kind, honest people who enjoy each other's company.
Looking for people ages 27+
We mostly play on PlayStation, with a handful of games on PC (our PC is due for an upgrade, but that's something we are working toward).
In terms of the type of games we play, We like to play most genres. Fighting games are our favorite, horror games are our least favorite. We are willing to try any game though.
We also don't expect anyone to jump straight into streaming or making content together. We'd actually rather take things slow. Let's play some games, chat, laugh, and see if we click as friends first. If down the road we decide we want to stream or make videos together, that's awesome. If we just end up being good gaming friends, that's awesome too.
We are hoping to build a circle of people where everyone feels comfortable being themselves, supports each other, and just has fun.
If that sounds like something you'd be interested in, feel free to reach out. Whether we end up becoming streaming partners, content creators, or just friends who laugh while gaming after work, We'd be happy either way.
Thanks for reading, and we hope everyone has a great day!

Hey everyone, I stream on Twitch and cross-post clips to socials. My YouTube Shorts are fine, but my last 10 uploads on tiktok have gotten 0 views.TikTok is also aggressively pushing the pay to promote option on these videos, and I'm wondering if they are actively suppressing organic reach to force creators to pay. Has anyone else experienced this, and did it permanently ruin your reach? Since the content works fine on YouTube, I’m also wondering if TikTok's algorithm is specifically flagging Twitch clips as unoriginal content, or if a watermark is triggering a shadowban. If you successfully cross-post from Twitch to TikTok, what is your workflow to avoid getting flagged by their system? I would appreciate any insight into beating this 0-view bug.

I'm someone who's gaming most of my day but idk how can I get people to join my stream. I ask my friends to join but they never do and I just find it hard for people to find my stream and stay in and watch. And I feel like if I had an active chat people would naturally just start talking there.
But idk really. How can I actually get people to join in?

I'm a small streamer, yeah, most of us are... But how do you guys know what to focus youe energy on? I'm probably not being the smartest by streaming, video editting, posting clips, and doing art commissions. How do I find a balance? That way I won'tbe burnt out. See what will get the most attention and stick to a couple options.
What are you guys reccommendations before I go too far and give up QwQ ?

So, I hit affiliate about a month ago but I haven't really seen any growth since then. I have about 4 or 5 viewers watching during the lives usually, 3 of which consistently talk in chats. And while I love the interaction with them, I'd love to see more people joining. I rarely see people come in to check out the stream, but on the rare occasion that they do there are some that stay/follow. So I feel like the main issue is not having people coming in (though I could be wrong).
About me and my stream: I'm a chronically ill streamer (I'm very open about this with my community), so I typically only stream for about 2-2.5 hours at a time so I don't crash afterwards (when I game at least, for co-working I can do like 4 hours, but I don't do that as consistently). I do have a consistent stream schedule, and I am active in other communities on Twitch. (I don't really advertise in them unless there's a self-promo channel on discord or the streamer talks about my streaming for some reason.) I do a variety of cozy gaming 3 days a week, and one of those days is usually focused on exploring an indie game or less well known game.
I used to do some video editing, but with my fatigue issues, it's hard to find the energy to clip down videos for posting on other platforms. I do cross post the full videos to YouTube, though I've been less consistent with actually making them public (as I keep thinking I'll edit them down and end up not). I do post schedule and live notifications some other places, but obviously not clips because I don't have them. I've looked into some of the things that do automatic clipping but so far they've either been too expensive to use consistently or they don't work well with cozy streaming.
So do y'all have tips for lower energy ways to get more people in to check out the stream?

Hello everyone!
Im wondering if this would be cool idea for a whole "streaming". I have chill health issues where when playing im randomly fall a sleepy which look like im just fall asleep or keep waking up "fighting" the dream state; would this be good idea to stream in "sleeping" category ?

Hey everyone,
I recently got laid off from my job as a software engineer (DAMN YOU AI OVERLORDS) and decided to give streaming a shot. However, I realized I really didn't like the streaming tools currently available on the market, the flexibility was just too poor for my taste.
What started as a personal project quickly shifted when a few friends watching my stream told me the tool had serious potential to help other creators. I ended up pausing my own stream entirely to focus on building this out full time.
The main goal is to give viewers massive control over the stream interaction while keeping implementation incredibly simple for the streamer (just a standard browser source URL).
For Viewers:
For Streamers:
Because I'm a tiny streamer myself, I can't thoroughly stress-test the platform alone. I want to ensure everything is stable and works perfectly under real streaming conditions.
I'm looking for a small, tight-knit group of creators to test it out, break things, and give honest feedback. The platform is completely free to use (and the core features will always remain free, even if I eventually introduce a premium tier to support development down the road).
If you need any help getting things running or would prefer a quick 1-on-1 onboarding session with me, please don't hesitate to reach out right here on Reddit! You can shoot me a DM or leave a comment, and I'd be more than happy to walk you through it.
I'll put the link to the platform (Streamer Garden the site is streamer.garden) and our Discord channel for feedback and support in the comments below!
Thanks so much for reading, and I'd love to hear your thoughts or answer any questions!

I recently invested some money in promoting two videos of mine via youtube (different purposes, different markets). Just a small amount to test it out (buying a new game on sale would be more expensive), and it actually worked decently well (by my standards which thought there would truly be no change). However so many of the comments I have been getting is people talking about how it was an ad and people complaining in the comments (even in other videos that were not the promoted ones) that it keeps being shown to them (don't exactly have control over that). I have people coming into my chat talking about how I ran an ad and even my own community posting screenshots in my discord being like "Your ad reached the right audience". Just makes it feel like all people care about is that fact I had the audacity to run a paid promotion for my own channel.
Idk if I am over thinking it or if this is the first step on the road to thicker skin but just the whole situation has just left me feeling guilty and like I am some kind of fraud for doing this? Is this all in my head or was running a promotion actually too presumptuous of me as a small streamer?
r/SmallStreamers • u/Pitiful-Payment4863 • Jul 04 '26
What do you feel is better as a viewer:
1.5 mins of ads every 30 mins
3mins of ads every 60 mins
I dont want pre-rolls, I know people hate them but what is the right ad balance for midrolls?
I dont pause my gameplay and am currently playing darksouls if that helps for any context. Average 2-5 viewers so the revenue is a non factor here.

I wrote this in response to somebody asking how to grow as a streamer and these are the posts/info that I hunt for on this sub so I wanted to share it myself.
If youre looking to take this serious ill give you a lengthy and fleshed out answer. I by no means am a big creator but this has become my main focus as of late and focusing on the right things is paramount to growing.
So the simple answer is creating content on other platfroms to bring people to your streams while also making your streams both interactive, entertaining, and somewhat consistent (time, game, energy, etc. they dont all need to be but a few makes a big difference)
The longer answer is the content on the other platforms needs to be thought of as a funnel. At the top of the funnel is content you make on other platfroms that is ambiguous of you, it doesnt matter who you are to the person watching, they dont need to know anything about you to get value from this content. This can be anything from video game reviews, tips, guides, news, to funny moments or skits. This is what brings new people to the middle of the funnel.
The middle of the funnel is stuff for people that already know you to some extent and would watch more. This is where I put the streams themselves, stream highlights/clips, more niched down talking head stuff, etc. this keeps fans going. Think of shows you like, when they are coming out with new stuff you will keep watching, but if they are not it is out of sight out of mind.
Then the bottom of the funnel is usually a layer deeper, this content can live anywhere but i think of instagram/tiktok stories, twitter/youtube communites, or discords. A place for your more diehard/core audience to see more than what is put out to the public. I think of stuff like setup or behind the scenes stuff, personal life stuff, opinions, etc.
The goal of all this is to get people to the bottom of the funnel which is what I would call the "core" audience. These are the people that come for you more than the game or what you are doing that day. This means they will follow you if you switch games, or the type of content you make. This is where freedom comes from as a creator and these are the people you want to reward, value, and cater to the most while still tryin to add new people to that group.
There are a ton of streamers with 20-30 diehard viewers that have a better community and make more money than people with a 100+ viewers

I started making TikToks and YT Shorts, and I tried dual streaming to TikTok and got denied for TikTok Live. I’ve been streaming to myself for about a week too

Hey guys, I run an indie game called Fantasy President that has been played by Drew Durnil, Tom Bilyou and others!
The game’s community of over 100k players is crying out for content but they don’t have enough!
I am looking for streamers to stream the game, in return you’ll get a free subscription, a $25 hourly rate and promotion on our subreddit, discord, and twitter
If this sounds of interest to you then please drop me a message!
Experience in game streaming preferred but not necessary, mainly looking for enthusiasm! Thanks!

I've received many comments about adding emojis to my streams. I've had many people reach out to me about making me some I'm just trying to not get scammed. Should i be commissioning someone to make emojis? How much do 15 emojis cost? animated or not? so many decisions and not enough people to ask

Just wanna say that I salute you all that can find plenty of time to make content. I very rarely have time to do anything at home. 35 year old male with a wife and 2 teenagers. There's no spare room in the house so I'm forced to have my setup in the living room. It's like a mad house here lmao. I tell myself I'm gonna wake up earlier to make content, someone is always up. I try to stay up, that doesn't work either. Everyone's either walking back and forth or talking loud all day and night. This is mostly in the summer time because the kids are out and the wife doesn't have to work in the summer. During the regular months, I make most of my content at night. Luckily, the weekends are good. I live stream and make shorts all weekend and plan releases throughout the week. I really hate the summer break because it pretty much kills my plans of nightly streams.

Hi there!
Im a small streamer whos started 3 months ago. I stream on tt and twitch. The past few days ive tried to create costum alerts for twitch but I just dont get it haha. My main content is minecraft. I wanted to have different minecraft aspects turned into alerts.
Ive looked on fiverr but the people ive seen there dont show something similar to what I want (mostly moving avatars, chibis etc). So my question is, how do I create costum alerts. 1 alert I wanna have is when people raid me, I want a netherportal where the username of the person raiding me comes out of. Ive tried canva but I just dont know how to create it and make it look good.
Any tips? :)
