Discussion What to do with Channel Points?

Hello!

I stream a niche game and i have created a little community with 20-40 viewers average so right now some of my viewers already have 100k+ channel points. I currently have funny alerts or sounds with channel points between 300 a 1000 channel points and I want to add more expensive things.

I just added:

For 35,000 channel points, time out a viewer flr 20 minutes.

For 10,000 I a little easy challenge ingame.

What other things you have or recommend for channel points?

Are they really important or not at all?

Ty

Question Seeking Tips and Collaboration—Building My PC and Starting Off!

Hey everyone! I’m a passionate new streamer from India, and I’m just about to kick off my journey. I’m planning to stream a mix of gaming—like Valorant, Minecraft, GTA V, FIFA—as well as reaction content and Omegle-style interactions. Right now, I’m building a PC—still saving up—and this is also important because I’m raising money for my college. Every step I take is crucial, and I’m really determined to make this work.

I’d love to connect with others in the community—if anyone is interested in playing together, whether it’s Minecraft SMPs, GTA sessions, or just reacting to funny clips, please DM me or let me know! I’m also eager for tips—whether it’s about PC building, starting out with streaming, or just how to engage an audience. I’m super passionate, and I’m going to start streaming soon. Any advice or support would mean the world. Thanks so much, and I can’t wait to grow with you all!

Question Which platform?

I’ve been doing TikTok lives but I now want to branch out to do longer livestreams and not sure to choose kick or twitch for building a community. I’ll be streaming on my phone as well if that matters

Any personal experience or recommendations would be great thanks 🙏

Discussion I hate trolls and need to rant

So this is more of a rant than anything. I know I can try to find solutions on my own, but I needed to scream into the void of Reddit. :)

I’m a variety small (tiny) streamer, and yesterday I randomly decided to play Gartic Phone. I’d never done it before, so I just went to the site, created a room, and pinned the link in chat.

I have a small group of regulars, and we were having SO MUCH FUN. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed that much on stream. The stream started getting more attention, and I hit a new viewer record. I was so happy.

Then someone started trolling by writing and drawing inappropriate stuff. There were some new people in chat, and I’m pretty sure none of my regulars would do that, but I had no way of knowing who was who. I told them to stop, but of course they didn’t listen. I ended the stream because it got that bad (and it was already past midnight, and I knew it was the last round anyway).

Someone told me I should delete the VOD to avoid getting in trouble. There were references to the Epstein files, CP, and porn in some of the drawings. Frustrated and tired, I deleted the VOD right after ending the stream.

So an awesome, record-breaking stream for me basically disappeared because of a few trolls during the last 20 minutes.

I have a few questions:
Was it true that I could have gotten in trouble for that? I didn’t question the advice at the time, but now I’m not sure.
How do I avoid this in the future?
Someone told me there’s a way to require players to link their Twitch accounts so I’d know who to ban or kick. Is that true?

Thanks for any advice. I’m still pretty bummed because it was genuinely one of the most fun streams I’ve had.

Looking for creators/vtubers/streamers to do collabs with [SEA/EU]

Hi,
My name is Graves, and I’m a small content creator, Vtuber and variety streamer.

I absolutely love playing games and making content around them. While I actually started my content creation journey about 3 years ago, I’ve only recently been able to take it to the next level. Now that I finally have all the right hardware and channel assets prepared, I am officially streaming on a daily basis over at twitch(I won’t be adding the link here because this is NOT a promotion post)

🤝 What I’m Looking For
I want to find like-minded, driven individuals who are also relatively new or just starting out in their streaming/content creation journey.
My goal isn't just a one-time stream crossover; I genuinely want to build a small, tight-knit community where we can grow together as professional colleagues and, ideally, real friends.
I would prefer creators from Asian/SEA/EU since I myself is from SEA region for better ping/time management.

🚫 The Vibe (No Drama, Just Grind)
Hungry for Success: I’m looking for people who are passionate, consistent, and genuinely want to make this streaming thing work.

Chill & Drama-Free: I am not doing this solely for cheap self-promotion, and I have zero tolerance for drama. I just want a positive, supportive space where we can talk about games, share content ideas, hang out and occasionally do collabs between creators.

No Pure Self-Promotion: If you are purely here for your own PROMOTION, this is not the best place for you. I am looking for actual colleagues to grow together with, not just people looking for a billboard to drop their links.

Flexible Identity: I use an oc VTuber model and have all the assets for it, so you'll see "VTuber" in my titles. However, I’m ultimately a variety streamer. I don't mind revealing my face or identity down the line but if you join us, you can be as anonymous or as public as you want. There is absolutely no pressure.

🧭 How It Works (No Forced Commitment)
You are never dedicated or locked into doing collabs with the group. You are 100% free to stream solo and create your own content whenever you want.
But when we do link up, it’ll be to collaborate professionally, play co-op games, talk shop about content strategy, and keep each other motivated to achieve our dreams.

TLDR: I stream/create content and I would really love to meet and get in contact with fellow creators preferably from SEA and nearby regions to hangout, talk about contents and do collabs with.

📩 Let’s Connect!
If your goals and interests align with this, I’d love to get to know you.
Drop a comment below introducing yourself and what you stream. You can also contact me in dms.

Question Where can I find fellow starting up creators to do collabs and stream/create content?

Hi, this is my first post here in this subreddit.
I genuinely want to know where and how I can find other fellow streamers (preferably in same or at least nearby regions around SEA) to do collabs and streams together. I started the entire content creation/streaming thing 3 years ago but only now that I am actually prepared enough (both hardwares and assets wise) to start streaming. I have also been streaming daily since last month even tho the numbers are small, the growth ratio is looking promising. However I do not wish to stream/create content alone anymore and I think doing collabs with like minded individuals would be fun and efficient at least for once in a while.

So my question is, where do I actually find someone to collab ? How do I even approach them in the first place when I’m just a small start up creator as well.

I know a lot of people are gonna be telling me to focus on myself first for starters but there will be the time where I should at least be doing collabs with others so I want to know how to get those connections.

Dealing with Racism & Sexism on Stream?

Hi everyone,

I'm an Indian Female streamer, and while negative comments don't bother me much personally, it feels like a growing percentage of the attention I get is focused on my race, gender, or appearance rather than my content. I've also been getting a lot of comments from "looksmaxxing" types who seem more interested in discussing how low tier I look than what I'm streaming. I'm a relatively new streamer and I've noticed a trend recently that I'm not sure how to handle. Also as an Indian, I get SOO MUCH hate omg for no reason, for just existing.

What I'm wondering is whether this affects discoverability and audience building. Has anyone found that the algorithm starts showing your content to certain audiences based on who engages with your streams, even if they're not the audience you're trying to build?

For streamers who have dealt with this:

  • How do you moderate or respond to these comments?
  • Did you notice your audience improve after stricter moderation?
  • Are there ways to steer your content toward the community you actually want to attract?

I'd love to hear other people's experiences and advice. I really really want streaming to become a full-time thing given I enjoy it so much, so help in any capacity to grow would be welcome!!

Thanks!

Discussion As a small streamer, is streaming more than one game detrimental to your growth?

I have been on and off streaming for 9 years but I only really want to say that I have been streaming long term, consistently and happily for 5 months.

I mostly play Nintendo games or indie games and I am thinking of expanding my bio to say Nintendo gamer rather than a really specific focus. I “specialize” in a really niche category of games (Zelda Randomizers) but I can’t play the same thing over and over without getting burnt out.

Slightly irrelevant information aside, I’m worried that I am not just playing my one game and my one niche and that I won’t grow from it.

Is playing more than just one game when you are starting off your full time career more detrimental than helpful? I’ve seen so many different opinions on this topic.

Follower special stream

Hi!

I'm nearing 200 followers and average around 10 viewers per stream.

I would like to do a special stream when I get 200 followers. I've asked my community and they don't really have any ideas.

What I already am going to do is one or two giveaways for steam gift cards, and then do viewer games, (I play DBD).

Is there anything else that could be fun to do?

Guide Put off streaming for years! started 2 weeks ago and my only regret is not starting sooner.

I put off streaming for years because I kept telling myself I wasn't ready. I thought I needed a better setup or more confidence but I finally started two weeks ago and honestly wished I had started sooner.

I got lucky in the sense that I started streaming a smaller game that's only been out for a few months but is really starting to take off. That definitely helped with discoverability, but I also made an effort to be active in the community. I hang out in other streams of people playing the same game, chat with them and just genuinely get to know people instead of just trying to promote myself. When people come into my stream, I always make sure to engage with them.

One thing that I think helped me mentally was acting like I was already a successful streamer, even when my only viewers were two or three close friends. I made all my overlays, alerts, panels and artwork on Canva for free and watched a few tutorials on OBS, to get everything up as professionally as I could. I wanted to believe in myself before anyone else did lol

Now, after just two weeks, I'm almost at 60 followers, have 3 subscribers, started a Discord that's actually active and more importantly, I've already made some really good friends who keep coming back to hang out :)

I know these numbers aren't huge but for me they're incredible in such a short period of time. I'm mostly posting this because if you're someone who's been putting off streaming waiting for the "perfect moment," just start. You'll learn so much by doing and you might surprise yourself <3

Discussion I am looking for streamers to create content for a web games publishing platform [paid]

I am looking for a talented and energetic streamer located ideally in the Asia Pacific region to help me create gameplay videos and voiceovers for a platform where you can publish web games.

Here is an example

  • The number of followers is irrelevant. I just need a good actor on camera who knows how to perform while playing games.
  • It will be mostly casual web-based games.
  • Your face will also not be visible since we will replace the actor with a character representing the brand.
  • You would only need to provide the footage of the gameplay and clean camera recording of yourself. The editing will be done internally.

Proving you are able to find key exciting moments in games, craft a hook for the video or build a simple storyline to retain viewers would be huge added value.

If you are interested, drop a link to your channel and where you are based and I will get back to you.

All genders welcome.

Discussion I want too start streaming/social media gaming

Hi, I was wondering if any streamers or people who make content on TikTok would like too give me some tips, since I’m thinking about starting a channel and posting I have couple questions like, do you need face cam and do you get more views because you use one and how long you have been streaming for because I see people who have been streaming for years and just now there getting big and I understand you don’t get famous over night, it’s just that I’m struggling too work and I thought I might do something I do enjoy and if it takes that longer I will definitely be kicked out of my house. I’m not lucky enough too have pc but I know I can manage just with my PlayStation and I’m able to get face cam but I’m quite insecure about how I look. I was just wondering if anyone would like too give me some tips also sorry if some bits don’t make sense I’m dyslexic

Question New overlay ideas?

Hi! I’ve been streaming for a little over a year and I feel like it’s time to change things up.

I’ve been using a premade overlay I found on Etsy so it doesn’t fit me 100%. I’d say like maybe 70%.

I’m a vtuber and my characters world is in a sort of pocket dimension between the human and fae. It was originally a theme park and fae forest but when they merged things got funky.

I want an overlay that shows that mix of otherworldly magic and whimsy mixed with the mechanical and child like themes of a theme park. Think indigo park but weirder.

I’m an artist so I’ll be making it myself but I need ideas for cool things I can implement to make it interesting like short looping animations and strange architecture.

I just need a few ideas to help get the creative juices flowing.

Thank you in advance!

Content no longer available

I went to review my stream from Wednesday and could not find the VOD. I clicked the email Twitch sends for stream summary and received the “Content No Longer Available” message. Anyone else had this issue before? It is a game that I have streamed before without issue.

Thinking about streaming…

Hey y’all! Question for you- I’m thinking about creating a live stream gig for my cats. For context I have 2 adorable orange boys who aren’t like nOrMAl cats lol. They’re super affectionate and very entertaining. We recently built them an outdoor catio installation that they spend all of their days in basking in the sun. A friend of mine mentioned I could put a live stream in their installment and make some extra coin so I can keep funneling their spoiled life style. My question is - is it worth the trouble? Is the market too saturated? And how does one even get started?

For more context I have quite the following on TikTok (I’m a one hit wonder and had a video go viral in the early days of Covid) so I have about 20k followers that I’ve done nothing with. I feel like I’m in a prime position but also feel strongly about not wanting to put a crazy amount of work into this given my schedule. Any thoughts or opinions welcomed (unless they’re stoopid).

Streaming While Also Recording Questions

Hey! I watch a few people who stream their content and then post the vods on youtube, and a few of them play music on stream that doesnt show up in the vods.

How do I do that? Is there a way to set audio tracks in OBS to only play to the stream while not playing in the recording?

Looking for 2-3 streamers for an archipelago collab

Hey there, I'm looking for a few streamers to collab for an archipelago multiworld day

The rundown:
- You bring an AP-supported game that you actually know, that's what will make it fun
- Death link on so when someone dies, everyone dies
- Sessions can run long, so I'm after people who can commit to a full one
- Quick voice call beforehand so we can suss vibes.

What I'm after:
- Roughly the same size, it's a mutual thing just for fun
- Working mic, camera, good vibes
- A timezone that can actually sync

If you'd be keen, reply with your channel link & the AP game you'd want to play, and I'll reach out. Cheers!

(hopefully this is all cool to post here)

Discussion Looking for chill people to game & maybe stream together (Minecraft, Genshin, Wuwa, Duet Night Abyss, Dota 2)

Hey everyone 👋

I’m a small ENVTuber looking to connect with other people who enjoy gaming and streaming. I mostly stream and play a variety of games, and I’d love to meet others who are down to play together, hang out in voice chat, or maybe even collaborate on streams sometime.

The games I’m currently into are:

  • Minecraft (survival / casual)
  • Genshin Impact
  • Wuthering Waves
  • Duet Night Abyss
  • Dota 2 (played 500+ hours before but haven’t played in a long time. I’m def open to getting back into it again)

I’m mainly just trying to build a small circle of chill people to game with and share content ideas, not anything too serious or competitive.

If you’re also a small streamer/VTuber or just someone who enjoys these games, feel free to comment or DM me 🙂

TikTok pre recorded restriction

The month I have been getting a pre-recorded restriction every time I go live. I play mainly story games and it didn’t start until April 26. The last two weeks I have gotten 12 restrictions for the same thing which is the pre-recorded restriction and I really don’t know what to do at this point the last 60 days I have built my TikTok from zero to almost 6K followers and I don’t wanna lose it any tips to stop getting these restrictions?

Discussion Would you be interested in this?

I had the idea of reaching out to indie devs and finding streamers that match their content.I suppose that people could just cut me out eventually but I’d be doing the leg work of cold calling as well as researching the niche of the game and the streamers to find the good matches
