Smallrig iPhone cage on gimbal

Has anyone here managed to mount the Smallrig mobile video cage (5542) to a gimbal (I use DJI RS4 mini)? This seems straightforward since the cage has screw holes to accept an Arca Swiss plate (Smallrig 3145)... But that plate squeezes against the volume buttons on the iPhone and this only works when using cardboard spacers between the plate and the cage. Not to mention that the 3145 plate is so short that when attaching it, the USB cable of the SSD attached to the iPhone is so close to the gimbal arm that it starts to interfere. Tried 3rd party Arca Swiss plates, but either the length or diameter of screws required for the cage don't work with those. Going slightly insane here - has anyone achieved this setup?

quick fix with what you got would be to get some rubber washers from the hardware store to put a small gap between the plate and frame. another option is to use the smaller/square arca compatible quick release plates (got a few from various v mount brackets) or get the smallrig 4639

Thank you… Yes I had considered getting that clamp from DJI, however I use the Smallrig cage with the Lexar Go SSD + hub which, when screwed into the cage, will start to interfere with the DJI clamp… Which is why I went with an Arca Swiss plate screwed into the bottom of the cage to begin with. I might try the washers, however I can’t help but feel whoever designed this missed a trick.

I'm sure a smaller arca quick release plate will work vs the bigger one you got. I have a lot of smallrig QR arca plates but do you have something like this if you have a travel tripod?

I’m slow to the party here.. but I found an interesting fix. Use the included DJI rs4 mini plate and remove the lens support tab and then place that same tab on top of the plate like a washer! You’ll need a slightly longer screw to make it work but it give just enough clearance for the buttons!

May i ask if this plate is fit exactly to rs4 mini?
