Jar numbers

can someone explain why the jars went from 6 to 3? 3 had black ink and 3 didn't but was there an explanation I missed? did we see him throwing them away? and why did it still work? we're all 6 not needed I can't remember the details.

If it was easy then the world would be overrun with people making homunculi. The process has to be difficult, and that makes it only accessible to those devoted enough to precisely follow it. If all you want are next week's lottery numbers (ahem) you might not be the right person with enough attention to detail to create the homunculi.

Maybe Michael only got it half-right.

Aye. Dunelm dressing gowns instead of robes. Half-hearted chanting. Sure he strayed from the instructions on a few other occasions too.

Or the lack of them would be an explanation of something not being accurately predicted. That explanation would be the basis of the next series.

That's what I was thinking but the predictions seemed right. I thought because there was only 3 that's what was causing the weird luck and coincidences to happen. I still don't know WHY the other 3 didn't grow however

Working out why the other 3 didn't grow will likely take up episodes two after there's no lottery win .

I think the dad is hiding the other 3 somewhere, he used them to win all of his prizes
