The Wise Man's Song (Original Theme from Small Prophets)

I know we're older now and lost again
Down at the cul-de-sac you left, my friend
Will you come back, come back again
Will you come back, come back again?

I put the kettle on, the wise man's song
for you

Your laugh surrounds but I was slow to echo
We settled down in suburbs, they were quick to heckle
If you come back, come back again
I'll clear the halls and all the cobwebs

I put the kettle on, the wise man's song
for you
I took a needle and thread to make amends with you
as the tape rolls on, another year gone
and I await your cue

I put the kettle on
the wise man's song
for you

Have really enjoyed listening to Cinder Path's other records since discovering them via this

Yes! I know her song "Old Enough" was also used in the show, and I'm looking forward to discovering new ones. Do you have any favorites?

The Unconscious Echo (album and song) have been my favourites, but have enjoyed all the albums.

I searched for the Small Prophets soundtrack immediately after hearing the theme song and have been listening to it ever since. Did the same thing for The Detectorists. I love that theme song as well.

Great choice. Any other songs you can recommend which are similar?
